very good video congratulations, in my f100 of the year 65, I have installed a Ford v8 Y Block 292 of the year 73, here in Argentina they were manufactured until the year 88 under the name phase2 from 1973 when, Ford Motor Argentina made a development, on the original V8 (from the end of the 50s to the year 72 in Argentina it is called 292 phase1 and from the year 73 to 88 it is called 292 phase2, cordial greetings from Argentina

I always filled the cylinders with fuel oil and fill the whole inside of the motor with fuel oil also to help free everything up then drain it

312 y block I was going to say its either a 292 or a 312 ....the 312s are a little more rare the only way to tell its really a 312 is to drop the oil pan and see if it has ECZ main caps

Bus may be a 48 but the engine is a later 50s to 60s 292 or 312 V8 dads 48 F2 phone truck had a flatty in it as did grandpa's 48 ford estate wagon

I didn't waste any time, the old engine runs great. This weekend I'm driving it to the Church that it use to belong to and show up at their reunion to show them.
