very good video congratulations, in my f100 of the year 65, I have installed a Ford v8 Y Block 292 of the year 73, here in Argentina they were manufactured until the year 88 under the name phase2 from 1973 when, Ford Motor Argentina made a development, on the original V8 (from the end of the 50s to the year 72 in Argentina it is called 292 phase1 and from the year 73 to 88 it is called 292 phase2, cordial greetings from Argentina

Late to the party but loving it so far. My ex could take an engine apart, modify it, rebuild it, and put it all back together. I loved watching the process.

I always filled the cylinders with fuel oil and fill the whole inside of the motor with fuel oil also to help free everything up then drain it

nice, might have been easier to put penetrating oil in the cylinders first. But that clutch, wow... lucky it moved at all.

Yo, it turns! That's half the battle if it's turning and no stuck valves! If you ever seen Mortske Garage he often has to drop the starter and pull it apart or replace... it's kind of a running joke there, lol.

Resurrecting the dead is never easy. Apparently them mice like to hang out behind the flywheel inspection cover. I had the same problem-full of mouse house!

Insane cool and difficult. I'm loving the series and I would do just what you are doing. I would like to request one thing for your channel if possible. The music volume and the talking volume are not very matched and it would be much more enjoyable if they were. Thank you for your hard work and great videos!

312 y block I was going to say its either a 292 or a 312 ....the 312s are a little more rare the only way to tell its really a 312 is to drop the oil pan and see if it has ECZ main caps

It's would be easier to break it loose by the flywheel underneath you can't get much torque on that front bolt like you can on the flywheel

Bus may be a 48 but the engine is a later 50s to 60s 292 or 312 V8 dads 48 F2 phone truck had a flatty in it as did grandpa's 48 ford estate wagon

No it's a 1948 Ford F5 Superior bus. Someone swapped out the original flathead for 1957 Ford 312 Y-block out of a dump truck.

I didn't waste any time, the old engine runs great. This weekend I'm driving it to the Church that it use to belong to and show up at their reunion to show them.
