I love my FC 610, I never had the thermal cutoff problem but I upgraded it to brushless pretty quickly, and now it flies. Bulletproof too and handles really well

Yes a beast of a truck for sure! Even on 3s you didn’t hVe the issue with it stock?

@@DerbyCityRC no problems on 3s with stock motor. Although I didn't try it in hot weather and only ran a few batteries through it before upgrading

Ya I ran my 2995 on 3s without an issue but I’m quite sure it was winter. But definitely looking forward to upgrading it!

Bummer, sorry to hear you couldn't kill it, ha ha! I'll still be looking forward to watching your upgrade video, I already watched a couple videos from other people, it seems very upgrade-able. I got motor, ESC and a cool Beetle body for it already, just need the damned truck, and maybe some proper pizza cutter wheels for it, ha ha! Good info as always, buddy!

These FC610 trucks are great for the price, I also plan to throw in a brushless system in mine eventually but have too many projects on the go 👍

I have not tried, but if you can find a way to run power to it and strap it to the esc, it should certainly help.

Great video! I’m looking forward for the brushless conversion cause I want to upgrade my 2995 but with more budget friendly electronics. I’ve been looking at brushless motor replacements but all of them have really poor reviews, except for the hobbywing ones. What motor will you be using? Or can you recommend another brand?

Ya I understand! My 2995 setup I believe is around $350. This one I’m about to build should be under $200. I’ll be using a surpass hobby, which is certainly not as good as Hobbywing, so it will be interesting to see how it holds up.

I actually never changed it. Whatever factory had in it. When I do change the fluid I’ll probably put 100k in F and R and 500k in the center

take cover of esc blow fan on it i know you must have fans.........c'mon........it might give the results we want :) I feel I am writing what normally you would be doing already :p I only have you for fc610 fun.....mine never showed last xmas and it took a few months for bangood to refund me. I ended up with arma granite but i always wonder what my fc610 would have evolved to eventually :) if i lived in the alternate dimension where it actually got delivered ha ha

yup I think the granite and 1/16 fc600 (clone of truck everyone owns) are all I need. Well i grew up with 1/10 scale tamiya pajero and fox so to me larger rc cars just do not appeal. They don't look right. The 1/16 scale is my project car and so much fun. The battery holder i had printed makes fitting 3s so easy like it was meant to be there. The weird thing I can't explain is I bought some sexy metal gear servos for the steering but wheels will not turn enough. If I put original back it is fine...it is just a weird 'how and why is this possible???' moment!! It is a massive time sink due to servo sitting under the 3d printed battery tray converter which doubles as its mounting. I have had it in and out so many........forget that, kids are present!

Yoo how are you feeling after covid? And my cheetah broke it's driveshaft yet again but it was kinda my fault I landed it full speed on the rear wheels and it was probably what happened but those front ones that I replaced are still in tact very good. And also i broke the plastic servo horn because i tightened the servo saver a little too much. But other than that it's still soo much fun with it

Sorry for the late response! I kept forgetting to measure! From hole to hole the shocks are 80 mm. The motor is 36mm wide and the motor can is about 62mm long.

We have the same problem with the hbx 16889 withe the teyers of hbx 903.. The Esc or the motor stop every 2 minutes.. Hope that the hbx 16889 pro can handel the bigger teyers the rc is on the to me

The pro does seem To handle it better. But I haven’t tried 3s with the big tires yet 👍👍

Banggood is very legit. Some people have reported issues, but they’ve always been good to me. Located in China so shipping usually is around 2 weeks, but great RC cars for good prices. Most of mine are from there lol. Also, I have that new brushless HyperGo monster truck on the way! Looks awesome, so review will be soon (though it won’t get here for two weeks 🤣)
