Just ordered a OPT-10w, in the new extremely compact housing. Looking forward to testing it against my 3.5 and 6.2w lasers. The beams on that 3w look very well behaved.

Awesome! OPT has some of the best beam correction I've seen for diode lasers.

@sol how has the OPT-10w been? I've been looking at their selection... the prices almost seem too good to be real

@@ZeroCool_Numbers Hi, The build quality is excellent. Really happy with the look and feel of the unit itself. I got it with the DT40 scanners tuned very wide and they are performing great. Beam quality is good but not perfect. Single blue diod outputting 4.3w. 3x green diods outputting 3.2w aligned using knife edge mirrors, alignment could have been a tiny bit better but acceptable. 4x Red diods, these have given me a bit of trouble with alignment, Currently these output 3.1w before the beam combining, but is down to 2.2 at the apature. I have the laser sent away to a experienced and respected laser repair/build guy to bealigned (as I didn't fancy doing it myself) I also asked the guy to have a good look over the unit to see what he thinks. At the moment I am still very happy with the unit and plan to buy more in the future. If you want to chat more and see some videos ect. We can chat more on Facebook or email. m.facebook.com/Mindscape.ie/ Info@mindscape.ie

@@Solmbarnes Sounds pretty good for the price... especially compared to western companies!

@@ZeroCool_Numbers yes they are incredible for the price. Just have to be prepared that you may have to do a bit of tinkering and after sales will probably be poor. But what you get for your money is excellent. I also had FB4 fitted to mine and very competitive rate. If you message me on FB I'll let you know how I get on with my alignment issues.

Nice 👍👌 I also used to planned to buy this from them with an FB4 built in, but eh... I guess must wait over until COVID passed away :)

How is the laser compared to more western brands like laserworld, beamz or kvant because the prices are ridiculously low for its power
@audibosoundandlight4 жыл бұрын
To start off with, beamz and most laserworld units (Club Series, Diode Series, PowerLight) are all made in China, just like OPT. I like laserworld units but the units from the diode series did not perform as well as the OPT units, the beam quality is worse and I had to send in a DS2000 for repair twice. Now we work with 10pcs of OPT units (mix of 7W and 10W) and the beam quality is better, colors are nicely matched and the build quality also seems better because I've never had a problem with them. If you would like more information, feel free to shoot an email at info.audibo@gmail.com and I will forward you to an OPT representative.

@@audibosoundandlight thank you for your answer, i have had such a hard time finding good info and have been offered a secondhand laserworld d2000 rgb for about 900$ but i can get opt rgb 3w for much less.

They sell on AlieXpress to but I ordered these directly from the manufacturer

These looks great, but they only appear to have a 1 year warranty from retailers I've found.

True, I haven't had a single problem with my units though. They use quality MeanWell power supplies inside for example, which are also used in the medical and military field.

Was checking these out, how much are they? You you recommend this over a laser world ds2000 or tarn 2.5?
@audibosoundandlight4 жыл бұрын
Hi James, If you get in touch through my conctact info (in the video description) and I will provide you with all the info like the pricing and such. Having owned a DS2000 I can say the PD3000 is superior, it has way better beam quality, white balance and scanners. I still like the DS2000 though... I unfortunately don't own any Tarm products but from what I've seen the PD3000 (HD) is very comparable to a Tarm 2.5 beam quality and color balance wise.
@thedoors-ofperceptions83303 жыл бұрын
@@audibosoundandlight OPT is in no way comparable to tarm lasers I can certify it to you to own it myself, there is absolutely nothing comparable between these 2 brands (divergence, bright & vivid colors, beams data, décoloration), in short everything from A to Z ^^ OPT acts as a gadget compared to tarm with RTI sources, does not cost 5x the price for nothing and for similar power !:-)
@audibosoundandlight3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your coment! We have to agree to dissagree then ;-) From what I have seen the average party attendant will not see the difference between an OPT 3W or Tarm 2.5, that's all I'm saying. Tarm 2.5 lasers are made in china too. And the 2.5's don't have RTI modules. But like with everything, you get what you pay for. If you pay more you get better quality stuff most of the times. But there's a point of deminishing return where the extra cost will not bring you much extra value to the experience the people have when seeing the lasers in action. This is just my 50 cents, opinions can always differ, do with it whatever you want :)

@@audibosoundandlight Sorry In fact I was talking about the 7 & 12W tarm I do not have a 2.5W tarm but in view of their price I always doubt that they are Made in Germany unlike the higher ranges but I have a friend who has 10 to 30W power OPTs and they are undoubtedly inférior to the tarms and this at all levels ..!:-)
