These capsule-shaped scenic elevators traveled along the museum building's central void, and connected the level P1 main lobby with the exhibition halls, administration offices, and the level 7 event space. Due to their location inside the museum's "paid" area, these elevators were only available to patrons with a ticket. Their cabs had a shimmering metallic exterior, with round windows providing a close-up view of the building's curvy interiors. Both the cab and landing doors had been almost entirely made out of glass, with no visible metallic frames from the outside. Floors could be selected by means of a giant touchscreen inside each cab, which also doubled both as a floor indicator and a capacity plate. Their cabs were much larger than what it seemed from the outside, being the size of small freight elevators. They also moved quite quickly compared to the number of floors (though the tall floor-to-ceiling height and sheer number of visitors probably necessitated such speed), and ran very smoothly with efficient leveling. The lack of a keypad as a backup option in case the touchscreen went out of order seemed like a potential problem, though.
