Mike, Great Video! I'm doing a similar upgrade to a 1x chainring. Hey, in the video when your chainwheel bolts were too short did you have to order the "double" size vs. the "single" size? I noticed on your amzn link, it defaults to "single" so I wanted to make sure I don't have to re-order. Appreciate your feedback Sir! Keep Riding!!!

I've been looking to do the same thing for 2 x 10 drivetrain. You went to the 32t chainring but you did not replace your cassette, loosing some climbing power. I was going to get a new cassette with 42t climbing cog but not sure yet if that is the way to go. Anybody else done this before?
@MikePopovici Жыл бұрын

@MikePopovici Жыл бұрын

@nyreppin1 Жыл бұрын
If you're really trying to stay budget friendly but get great performance the Shimano CUES drivetrain is fantastic. You can use the 11 speed cassette from that. (U6000 or U8000). Either are fine. Just make sure you have the correct hub.

@MikePopovici Жыл бұрын

@NonLegitNation2 Жыл бұрын
I don't know if you didn't film it but you might need to shorten the chain a few links since you aren't running the bigger chainring from the 3x.

@MikePopovici10 ай бұрын

@Realwademasters Жыл бұрын
Great video but honestly you should have put more time on the crank and sprockets . Doing a switch to 1 sprocket setups you really don’t benefit from unless your doing a lot of dirt racing or jumping . For the fact of having to change your shifter aswell atleast run a 12 with a 32 front sprocket so you have a good all around use.

What’s the benefit of converting to this?
