sdidora5 ok well yah tbh lol, she is great portraying her character, the finale of s8 is the one that actually shows how good her acting’s are even if by that time it was awkward cuz ian was married with nikki, she did very great job and very professional I can see emotions unlike ian shame to say that I didn’t see any emotion from him at all in s8 finale he looked awkward af even the holding hands and his stares at her, it’s disappointing he wasn’t that professional there and didn’t put aside his awkwardness with her and portray the emotions of his character as far as i know damon would’ve looked more emotional and in his eyes more than that awkward stare lol. Anyways not hating on ian tho I think he’s a great actor.

This scene is proof of how a simple hand-holding act from damon can stir strong emotions in Elena that stefan's thousand kisses never did 😍😍😍😘😘😙😗😗Delena is epic, passionate and there is this forbidden aspect to them that made them so appealing to everyone. I think even the stelena fans somewhere deep down want someone to love them as passionately as damon loves elena. I agree damon did shitty things in the past but he changed so much for her that he even grew to love Stefan the way he loved him back in 1864 when there was no Katherine between them. This is a perfect scene! I love Damon's surprise and the tender expression in his eyes when he catches Elena looking at him. He is often such a confident character but you can really see his vulnerability here. The tension between them is incredible and they built up to the passionate moment so well with the hand holding and Elena's reaction to it. Something I just realized while watching more recaps on episodes is that Damon really has been the one who has been there for her more often than Stefan. He has carried her away from horrible things more times. I can't even remember a time when Stefan did that though I'm sure he has. Damon has done so much more for her. And it's a more two sided relationship for them. They both make each other better. She and Stefan have the love but not the love and the fire she and Damon have.
