Not sure what server I got on this morning before work but it was absolutely perfect, 30fps client side, I was very happy with 20fps which is the best i had seen up until now. Completed 1 hauling mission and 2 bunkers missions in the hour I had without a single issue, one day it will always be like this :)

It's bad when you can't tell if something is a feature, bug, or exploit ... You hit repair and it repairs the saved state of your ship.. and had to pay UEC for that saved state. That seemed pretty much like a feature. Now they are calling it an exploit and when you repair you only get base ship state back (components, guns, contents, etc). If they ban someone for playing the game mechanics in the game and then say , oh sorry this mechanic was an exploit... that is pretty shitty.

Personally, I've lost more aUEC from bugs (and wipes) than I'd ever be able to earn from exploits so not sure what the big deal is. They should spend time fixing it instead of looking for players to punish.

There's a clear difference between "oops i exploited" and hording guns via said exploit. They're also not saying they're gonna ban people, just wipe money from their accounts. No reason to make it a bigger deal than it is. Don't try and make excuses for obvious behavior. Expecting them to fix every bug instantly in a game this complicated is unreasonable. Also, there are videos showing people how to do the exploit and encouraging others to participate. Not excusable.

If they ban someone in the alpha/beta stages for exploits then 1. its no longer alpha/beta and they're treating it as a finished product 2. they're literally banning the people who will highlight issues.

Because the feature is not existing already, They do not have characteristics associated to objects/weapons/components saying if they are basic ones you can find in shops or rare lootable only one or subscribers or paid ones. They only use the crude "repair" button that was created before components were physicalized and were all buyable.

weirdly the last two days ive had an unbelievable stable experience, grinded bunker mission in stanton with a couple unverified and cargo mission in between. they all worked, npc were flanking me and throwing grenades trying to heal their down friends which i didnt even know was possible. it went so well i upgraded my ship twice from cutty black to c1 then to Zeus mk II. this game can be an all timer when it comes together like it has for me recently.

I just have to say I put in nearly 4 straight hours of gameplay kind of dabbling in various missions, mining, logistics, etc. and to my extreme surprise I had no glitches, bugs or otherwise that stopped me from having the experience I wanted to have. After these last few years where it felt like it was you vs the game, I nearly forgot and just got immersed for once and it feels so good. I continue to be cautiously optimistic but for the first time in a long time I felt genuine hope for the persistent universe.

They also have to deliver the new mission system. adapted to Server Meshing. Current version is not only lacking the new missions of Pyro (repair, etc) but also most of old missions in Stanton like "Missing person"

I find it a little ridiculous that their first fix upon returning isn't related to stability, or missions, or anything to do with actual gameplay, but instead taking away the ability to pay in-game money to replace your real-money weapons, and calling it an exploit. Guys all we have to do is find exploits related to the things we want fixed, and they'll fix them immediately!

Had fun scrapping today, but not able to grab a hanger at area 18 (server Errors). The hanger won't open, docked at Bikini Point, able to reul and back to Microtech to unload. A Good Day, well 90 min.

This may sound like a complaint, and it probably is, but three of my fellow friends and I have had just 1 day out of the 3 we have tried to play on 4.0 Preview that has not crashed or prevented one or more of use from joining the game. Not to mention we have had issues in sharing missions with the latest play session just being a no on that completely. More frustrating is the fact that we have not been able to have more then one day of decent play time in about two months.

They are not very clear about patching and for now it seems to be just a server patch. I assume that 4.0.1 will also include a client side patch to download. I've luckily been able to recover the blue real money purchased P8-AR that I lost because it fell through the floor. Another P8-AR is gone with the whole content of a container. This whole system where you purchase gear with real money and then it goes lost because of game bugs is not fair, even though it comes back after some new game version is released.

Too lazy, tired, and sick to say more, but this is something they have recognized officially in the past and say is linked to true insurance when it comes out. For now they just have it come back as a temporary fix. Sry for your game experience in that regard. Can always melt ig, know it sucks

They'll most likely issue your account the blueprints for the armor/weapons you've paid for, that way you never lose them; you can always make more. Until we get the blueprint system ingame; we just have to becareful with our paid for weapons/armor. I've got about $40 worth of unique weapons/armor; and I don't just run around with them at random; and if I lose them I just kinda shrug and don't worry about it because we're still in alpha and there's no use getting upset.

I've had 60016 once, got fixed after 5 min waiting. Black screens did happen still, but not in the way it was unplayable after restarting the game

The repair exploit was a mixed bag. On one side, it was clearly an exploit but on the other side it was permitting players using their high level stuff without losing them instantly on a bug. Especially for subscriber and paid items. This would have meant that weapon rack would not be useless. But with the new limitation on military components not buyable and only lootable, it was very contradictory. Hope they will progress on this subject, with assurance possible only one certain items (the one sold in shops or subscribers/paid ones), with an interface to chose which instead of using just the full repair button. Having useful weapon racks and suit lockers plus persistent decorations in ships would be a huge plus in this game.

Last night was the first time I've been able to logon and actually do something since 4.0 launched. Every other attempt has resulted in a client crash, server disconnection, or just being locked in a hab.

Last night, i finished a merc mission without being there. Game crashed and when i logged back in, it was completed. But, i did have a lot of server issues and black screen. Luckily, i made an alt account, so i could just go do other missions and transfer money over to my main.

I was on today and got my usual black screen. every time the there is a load of players the server lag's can hardly move around.. try to land and your ship will blow up. I think they need to do Restarts on the servers or they can call it refreshes.. because after a couple days the server just go to ship..

Im perma stuck in a shard that never loads and always 30k's me when trying to load in. nothing i do, whether its trying to use arena commander, or other methods, allows me to actually be able to play. so my account is un useable in the PU........ been like this for over a week now... im legit royally screwed

You can also rent a ship. I rented the Cutlass Black and ran some cargo missions and then was able to retrieve my ship at Banjini.

If they offered a co-op only setting that can only be changed once a week, where you cannot attack players and players cannot attack you , nor steal your ship or cargo, it would go a long way for new players to enjoy it. Also if you are in coop mode, then no evil missions , so no jail....

I have still yet to hear them speak on or say they are fixing the biggest issue/bug. That is your character being stuck in a dead shard completely shutting you out of playing. Thats what happened to me 3 days ago and now I cannot play the game. No claimed workaround works.

I've spent too much time in non loading screens in 4.0. When I can get in the performance is OK at best. Really wished they would have had it in better shape for the holidays, but hopeful 4.0.1 will come soon with needed fixes.

Its server side so you will not have to install any patches until 4.0.1 most likely.

Careful with this Hotfix to prevent duplication, this now resets your entire ship to default after requesting repair.

@@needy3535 not only racks ship weapons/components that aren't stock too CIG fix was a .50cal shotgun and every citizen is bleeding from it. Whenever you hit Repair your ship it will get a full reset to default. And Spectrum is on Fire.

I'm not sure how CIG is going to handle making the game with one of the major directors for the game just quit as of today? With people quitting how is this going to really affect the progress of the game developing? Also, some players are still having issues with their stuff being not transferred over when requested.

It's true, be very careful recovering any items you *paid real money for* in an alpha game, making it fun. They patched that *fast* ...and yet chat, which is a tech developed in the late 1990's, still doesn't work. Shows *exactly* where the priorities are.

fixing potential cheats is probably simpler than a malfunction caused by multiple components, non working chat is simple to work around for a player.

@@graphite7473 yeah and? With the options like discord and teamspeak and such available you are going to let a minor issue of ingame chat not working in a test build get your feelings in a twist? Even when the shard arrary has a live tag in its name what we have is not a final product in any sense so what was working might go offline when a new version of something gets added to the servers and interacts with everything else. My ship is not working right, probably will have to wait for a polish pass before it geys fixed, it is a minor issue really and yet i am no where near as sour as you delicate wannabe flowers.

Its really sad but I bought a new PC to play this game (along with sim racing) and I have yet to enjoy a single session. Never have had the views or the vistas you put in your videos. All I manage to do is glitch into the ground, get stuck holding boxes, fly around in the dark till my ship starts spinning wildly and glitching out or it blows up randomly. This is really disappointing and hope that one day this game will be cool. It was only 60 bucks so it’s definitely worth it especially after years of following the game I just don’t know what I expected… maybe some more stability and performance after a decade of development.

The game is severely broken. I tried to run ten missions, 4 mercenary, 6 bounty today a few hours ago in Pyro. Only two worked. Server was a mere 15 fps, inventory was delaying at least 120 seconds behind and the server was not even full. Chat was not working either. The game is a mess and needs patching very urgently.

Why does all the planests look so much alike earth? Except for all the water we have. In reality there is no planet like earth, there is lava, super dense atmospheres, moons with poisonous rain, covered in a giant layers of ice. Etc. Why not make planets totally flat except for kilometer deep cracks? Diamond planets.. go bananas with imagination! Disappointed with pyro. Where are the flaring star?
