Dillian's Build is pretty cool and different with a no wall of 4 skar 10s compared to most with 12s or 15s. It was really slamming the high notes and still playing down to 26Hz with authority without a problem as you saw in the video. Let him know what you like about his build in the comments! I've always preferred 10s over 12s any day. My first pair of 10s were the Lanzar 10s from 1994. Put them in a bandpass box and sounded amazing!

I did 4 Walmart audio lightning 10's at 29$ a piece wired parallel to a 500rms amp in the back of a bronco a long time ago and it was one of the loudest systems I ever had. I figured that 40 inches of cone HAS to push serious air even if it's low wattage. And man was I right. If I had the space. I'd do it again. And the beauty of is it my stock 90 amp alt was un phased. No crazy heavy wiring ECT.

Ive got a question to throw out there to viewers. Im building a similar setup at the moment . 4 skar evl 15s in a no wall on 2 sk2500s. Any advice on how to fight box rise... wiring down with dual 2 ohm coils with 2 subs on each amp or wiring all 4 and strapping the amps?

Know the tuning of your box and where it peaks in frequency try to stay at or below peak other than that there isn't much else you can do.

It’s more in the box for lows, but I would go off of the Fs of the sub personally. Usually anything below 32-35hz I always liked for lows.

Just curious I've got a system in my truck already but I'm fixing to rebuild it and I'm just your average ordinary random guy who loves to bass. So the question is should I make a video series out of it or am I just adding more work for myself that wont really add anything to the entire process. The truck is a single cab 2005 chevy Silverado stepside with 4 Rockford fosgate's 10s behind the seats and I plan on building a blow through from the bed into the cab with a sundown dv 12.

I've learned alot from KZbin that i didnt know back in the day when i first started doing systems. People like you showing other peoples builds then people like exo,steave meade,soundman a.k.a doug and the fab kitchen have made me so much better at installing and not being scared to try things that look alot more intimidating than it really is. I think I will make a few videos and just see what happens right now I've got to wait for better weather lol dont have a shop..... yet.

when you say an alternator upgrade is good for 5k, how many amps are you basing that off of? 200? 370? just curious. based on your amp hour statements i'm actually under powered, but even with an 80 amp alt my lights don't dim (i have a 25 ah limitless, 35 amp hour gel and 850cca agm in the front with 2 hifonics zrx 1800 @ .6) thank you sir.

An average HO Alt for most is between 240 and 320 Amp Alts so that range. The bigger the better ofc obviously. 5K Watts = 500ah of AGM + a 240amp alt min would give you solid electrical. You can run on Stock alts just fine with enough battery bank but the stock alts aren't made for extra load so it's always recommended to add a 2nd alt or HO Alt swap to keep up with the electrical of your battery bank but it is possible with just stock. Your electrical is just fine for your power range as long as you aren't dipping into the 11s or under 12.6v. Thanks for watching man!

as far as low hz causing more power drain. can someone explain to me that with my system it is literally the exact opposite? i can increase db on the low end, 32hz, to +10 all day no voltage drop but if i increase the high end , say 80hz, to even +2db im dropping to 12v or lower same volume same song.

You need to set your lpf/hpf settings proper to not give the subwoofers the higher frequcnies such as 70-80hz as that's to high for a sub and your probably having a lot MORE Rise in higher frequencies than low frequencies and your box is more geared for the lows and that leads to more rise and less voltage drop. It's all a science and hard to explain. Thanks for watching and subscribing lariviere!

@@JacobViral ahh i do have my lpf set to 80 and the box it is in is a sealed box slightly under spec using an xfl1244. thanks for clarifying. i do know about the things you mentioned but i do not fully understand it yet. from my understanding i figured the box i am using is not suitable for lows but maybe it is. i had to make it myself to make it as big as possible while still maintaining usable trunk space so it is as shallow as possible while still leaving breathing room for the vent and about a foot of open space on either side.

First, I'd like to mention "first". But second, you get around to a lot of shows, and should have way more subscribers. You seem comfortable enough talking on camera... I'd suggest learning everything you can about the systems you come across, then talk about them. Check out Parker's videos at the Vehicle Virgins channel. He reviews super and hyper cars. Duplicate/Replicate his narration, and you'll jump in subscribers real quick. I'm a super car expert now, and I've only driven a Viper and NSX. Lol Just my two cents, to help you make more bucks. I know a lot of people watch these vids to get an idea on how to build out spine breaking bass systems. So a complete rundown of all the wiring, gauges, alternators, batteries, box builds, subs, amps, et cetera... And how the owners put it all together... Would help out a lot of these viewers. Again, giving you more viewers/subscribers.

Kandiss Leary I had kids too but I still managed to get 4-15's and 4-10's and 5 amps and 3 optima batteries built into the back of my Ford Taurus wagon and they could sit comfortably in back seat and my box was at or below window line and it was painted and all but was nice looking The difference is how much detail and planning etc etc compared to toss in a box screw a couple amps to the seat get what I mean now ???
