I've got kinda the same thing in my S-10. Subs are layed out about the same but the guts of the box are different. This summer when it gets warm out I'm upgrading from my 4 12" CVX to 4 15" L7's that I just got. Gonna have to change up the design to make them fit of course. And I have to do a little amp shopping.

From seeing a few boxes like this, I am LOVING this design! Pros: Loud as hell because of small airspace only truck cabin VERY hard to steal! subs aren't even able to be seen at all unless you pull the seats up! Cons: Gotta buy a new windshield and rear view mirror LOL, sounds good to me :D

Good install dude, you shoulda put the box a bit back, and added a port going into the Cab to, to make it a 4th order bandpass, those types of boxes are amazing!

@crdjsph I have owned both CVX's and L7's before. And your right the CVX definitely puts out much clearer sounding bass. I like the much harder hits and lower levels of the L7's though. If you get the right amp and tune it right the L7's are still crisp sounding though. Definitely not as clear sounding at CVX but hits hella hard.

you should make a c channel out of mdf to go throught to the cab to get rid of the rubber flex it would sound a lot better out side the truck.. nice setup think of doing a cut through in my truck...5 star and box is insane!!

@BoiiSilverado Alot of the time blow through designs use an accordian camper material that is a rubber type material and has room for expansion/contraction/torsion. Then just an adhesive sealant

149db on what meter? It looks loud but not as loud or as violent as 150db Weather you have proof of 149db or not...you did a good job installing it and it looks good.

@crdjsph And that is what a lot of people don't look at. Compare a 15" L7 and an 18" Fi BTL. There really isn't a huge difference in the surface area of the cone because the L7 is square. But I am going to splurge on the amps I am going to use to run the L7's and tune them just right so it is a VERY slight downgrade in clarity, but a HUGE upgrade in the actually pounding of the bass.

sealed is clean tight bass, and ported is all spl. hard hittin bass. want people to hear u comin, port that shit. your box is made u said, all u can do is 3inch ports one for each speaker. unless the box is quite small jst keep it sealed.
