@@kidkwendeThere have been some very successful college sprinters come through the NFL combine. Some that were even faster than Kalen Walker and none of them ran 4.1. At the actual combine they are more strict with the start though. Kalen rocks back into his start which is illegal at the combine and would get called by the starting official. Still he’s obviously faster than 99.9% of players that come through the NFL.

2nd fastest time I've seen as the 60m dash World Record Holder (6.34), Christian Coleman, ran 4.12. Coleman is recognized as top 1-2 fastest starters of all-time. Check *Usain Bolt's last 100m dash race and assess how big of a lead Coleman has early in that race.* Impressive run by Walker.

@@itsinthetreesitscoming7431 It's the internet. It can be hard sometimes to get nuances in speech such as sarcasm or slyness. Stuff like that translates better when you hear it. The way it seemed to me is that you didn't think 6.51 was that fast seeing as there have been multiple collegians running 6.4 in the last couple years including Terrance Jones, the winner of the 60m dash at the NCAA Championship (though don't think he ran 6.4 in the final but he had run it earlier in the season) and Noah Lyles for example has now run faster than that by nearly a tenth of a second (6.51 was Noah's PB before this year though if I recall correctly). So that's how you came across to the reply above and to me. Plenty of people online don't understand how fast 6.51 is at all so it sounded like you were one of them. All good. Carry on.

He’s a track at athlete guys. Track speed and football speed are different. Track guys are way faster however many of them don’t do well at football because of the physicality. Bolt once ran a 4.2 in sweats without stretching.

That's kinda the point. He's not a top TOP sprinter. He's really good, but hasn't been below 10. That's the difference between track and football. If the really fast football players concentrated only on track they would be faster, but they don't.

This is well researched. You can even ask the companies that make these devices and they can give you their results and comparisons between different set ups

@@mertholomy8414 Because he only ran 4.15 with this set up that is why. People don't realise how fast 4.30 is because of inflated numbers from hand timing and different set ups. But let's look at what better sprinters have done. Christian Coleman's 4.12 was actually manual start not automatic. Marvin Bracy and Devon Allen only ran 4.3 when they ran the 40yd dash. Bracy is a 60m world silver medalist.

@@aodoemela That's not true tho, Noah Lyles at Paris Olympics was last at 40m with a split time of 4.76, 40 yards = 36.5m so we convert doing 4.76 x 36.5÷40 = 4.34 except that in track we have reaction time ! Noah's reaction time was 0.178 ≈ 0.18 so we substrate that 4.34 - 0.18 = 4.16 and that was a terrible start from Lyles, hence why he's last at this point of the race. So now imagine what good starters in track can do (even though Noah's start is not that bad, he's just really inconsistent) Seeing you trying to imply that football players are faster than track athletes was really funny tho, now back to reality.
