**NOTES/CORRECTIONS** - I am aware that the translation for constellations in Chinese is more literally translated into "constellation of destiny" rather than "destiny seat" but ALSO realize that we're looking at the wordplay here as well. Hoyo *really* loves puns and using words/phrases with double meanings, and the sheer amount of these that have come up in the past and became relevant/functioned as foreshadowing makes digging into these instances of wordplay almost a necessity. - The same can be said for the Shen Yuan/Yuan Shen situation. Despite putting the characters on screen at the same time, a lot of people seem to have missed the disclaimers.

The funny thing is that wordplay is very common in Chinese (not just Hoyoverse), so I'm not sure why people are complaining about it. We also have to take note that the English localization may be flawed as there are some things that cannot be localized accurately without any context of the wordplay. I think you did a good job about that there. Here's some pronunciation tips if you want to read Genshin in Chinese closer to the native reading: the yuán in yuánshén is pronounced similar to the yue in Liyue with an n at the end (the sound is similar to saying yee but the lips shape a yoo), while the shén in yuánshén is like the shen in Shenhe. So a close approximation of the reading is yuenshun (both with rising tones).

Furina cannot be considered an "Archon", for she only played the role of one, is a copy of Focalors, and is also a (perfect) "human being" as per Focalors state before she died. But no matter what, Furina still got recognition as an Archon from other Archons even though she is not :') She deserves that recognition, however. 500 years acting as another person to save her nation while trying to maintain her true identity and sanity, her (and Focalors) sacrifices are beyond anything honestly.

From the beginning of the game we have had multiple characters saying that receiving a Vision comes with a great price, and apparently we now know what that price is: You become a prisoner of Fate, which is a system created by the Heavenly Principles to keep Teyvat under control.

Edit: some of the following are theories(based mostly from Ashikai’s), but so far the way it explains the fate system is very coherent. (assuming it's the King star that dictates their fates). Firstly archon constellations are compromised by Celestia through archon system. Since Furina’s divinity(Focalors) was destroyed and her divinity was the king star in her constellation, wouldn't Furina's current king star(vision) then be Neuvillette's own constellation prince star? (consider that Archon system and Vision system are similar but in different tier) in Furina's case her constellation's "King star" (divinity/celestial throne/Focalors) was destroyed and then she regained a connection to the constellation by getting a vision, which is part of Hydro dragon’s constellation stars or a piece of his authority/prince stars, that makes her not subject to Celestia's prepositioned fate because her vision isn’t connected to powers/authorities that aren’t compromised by Celestia. the parallel to this system is the vision system where the vision is either the King star or the connection of a constellation to the elemental/elemental-authority constellations, an analogy for what happened to Furina’s divinity would be: if a vision holder’s vision was destroyed. since her constellation was incomplete when the King star was destroyed it "realigned" with a star. either through: 1.)because it's the closest or most similar to the original star in the past, she was a Hydro Archon candidate itfp so it’s no shock that her missing part could be replaced by something from the embodiment of Hydro authority. 2.) it simply realigned with some parts of her(Focalors) that returned to Neuvillette's constellation.(scandalous, but it makes sense) 3.) idk, Neuvillette gave it to her? like number 1 but from Neuvillette's side. however we’re yet to know if the constellation system are also innate like Vision system, meaning if it can be decided which star connects to which constellation and vice versa, if not then it wasn’t a “choice” but rather fate/meant-to-be (basically it’s the universe who decides) 4.) her constellation manifested its own king star(is it even possible for a human?) 24:24 interestingly this parallels how Focalors invited him to be somewhat of a King(star) of his own under an "Archon" without king star and in a theater controlled by Celestia, now it's the other way around(though in a lowkey kind) and now Furina has a king star of her own that isn't subject to Celestia's control, very poetic. could this also mean Furina can ascend beyond heavens and become her own constellation (like Dragons) when she gets strong enough or Neuvillette allows her to? (well according to Ashikai theory atleast) I realized I have cooked alot.

if traveler are wish granters, that explains something for me. during random reward events in game where the npc is in the middle of nowhere in the map, i always wondered how traveler able to know where they are. it now seems that they are actually responding to their wish. the npc were always pondering how to complete whatever task and all of the sudden the traveler arrives as if blessing from the gods

I agree that it was the right moment for her to gain the vision, made it impactful aswell. but you know i have been wondering since 4.2 why did Furina not receive a vision before? this is a question some other ppl have aswell here was my thought process: we know that she started hating acting until her passion got rekindled in her story quest. key word being "rekindled" which means she loved acting before aswell, so what stopped her from gaining a vision if this is what caused her to gain it? well the reason is that she actually gained an ambition, she says it so herself. it's something akin to wanting to hear true stories of people aswell as guiding performers, aka being sort of a director and a guide. but here is where i hit a roadblock for a bit while she gained an ambition and received a vision for it, she did have an ambition before, it was to save Fontaine by sacrificing herself and suffering for them. She used acting as a means to achieve that goal so why not gain a vision? it would ruin the entire plan because if you gain a vision it means you are not an Archon so Focalors's plan would have failed very early on. Hell Focalors even tells Furina "i suppose this is 'justice' that belongs to you" so she should have gained Hydro vision in response to her own justice right? but after this i believe i reached my answer(cracked the code even if it's not straight up confirmed) Furina did not receive a vision because of a simple reason that was already explained in the story, it's because she was an Archon, 2/3rds of it in fact(body and spirit) while Focalors(divinity) is only 1/3rd. If Ashikai's theory about constellation in this video is true then that means Furina is all the prince stars of the constellation while Focalors is the king star. Furina was not able to receive a vision because king star(divinity), although it was split from herself, still existed meaning that she was connected to it aswell as connected to the Gnosis. Of course she gained no power from the Gnosis because it all went to king star part of the constellation AKA divinity. Archons can't gain actual legit visions, since they have gnosis and are just straight up ascended, so Furina in a similar fashion straight up could not do it while divinity part of herself still remained and WAS able to gain it after it got executed/destroyed. There are some people who think that Furina was never an Archon which is just incorrect if anything i said is remotely true. at this point from what we know, she was 2/3rds of an Archon(or by another interpretation all the prince stars) which made her an Archon but not a full Archon, same with Focalors. Since both of them were alive they together made a complete Archon although in split form, while now since Focalors is gone Furina stays as body and spirit...which is similar to a human who is able to gain a vision, but also kinda different because she has her own constellation same as beings like Dragons,Archons, Pseudo archons?(Scaramouche?) and Traveler.

Remember that people without their visions lose their ambitions. Being given a vision gives the person the ambition to fulfill their wishes. Being given a delusion is to falsely give into ideals that aren't your own but depend on that ideal for the power that comes with it. We lost Teppei in Inazuma to a delusion and saw the addiction to it he possessed before his passing. In a way, Visions give life's purpose to a person while Delusions take away life.

In Neuvillette's voiceline About Furina, he says that "if she were ever to make a return to the stage, I should personally attend the performance and give her my heartfelt applause... yes, I must do so when the opportunity arises" I think her vision was granted due to a combination of her realizing that she can use the stage to explore humanity now instead of denying it, plus Neuvillette supporting her new goal ❤

@@Uummi He's Childe, dude doesn't have much an ambition beyond fighting strong people and protecting the fam. He's basically Genshin's Goku. Conquer the world is mostly just a metaphor in his case for saying he wants to be the strongest. That ambition likely wouldn't be fulfilled actually conquering the world, especially if politics ended up giving him it without a fight. Heck, if he found out there's other worlds/universes out there with stronger people than in Teyvat, the goal post for him would definitely be moved to being stronger than them. In general his ambition is one that just won't be fulfilled ever for someone as optimistic as he is unless he has no regrets with the fam (e.g. they can do perfectly fine without him) and he's already past his prime going out in a blaze of glory against a worthy opponent.

@@xero5727 So far as we know, nope. He was already prophesied to be born in human form, and also because hydro vishaps were experimented on by orobashi to prevent the rebirth of hydro sovereign. Because of this, Hydro vishaps were contaminated with other elements so hydro dragon sovereign needs a pure vessel to be reborn. Edit : I'm half joking about him imagining his form, it was never directly stated. It's just like what op said, melusines love to read astrology and wanted to know his constellation (which he doesn't have one because his cons is just himself).

The "reading backwards" pun in Chinese (despite different characters and inflections) is a thing Hoyo has done in Genshin before! I'm copying this post I found on Twitter: CN Genshin fans found something shocking abt the CN title of Fontaine Act V, "罪人舞步旋" (zuì rén wǔ bù xuán), or "Dance Steps of the Guilty." Reversed, it becomes "旋步舞人罪" (xuán bù wǔ rén zuì), which is almost phonetically identical to the phrase "宣布无人罪" (xuān bù wú rén zuì), where only the inflections of the first and third characters are slightly different. The meaning of "宣布无人罪?" "DECLARATION: NONE ARE GUILTY."

It's foreshadowing stuff right under our noses, Honkai Impact 3rd is literally filled to the brim with that kind of stuff and both Genshin and Star Rail have shown foreshadowing when it comes to lore stuff, especially so with their Light Cones/Relics and Weapons/Artifacts. And like Ashikai herself said in many of her videos... Hoyoverse simply DON'T do coincidences, and that has been proven lord knows how many times now. So yeah, definitely wouldn't dismiss what OP said. Not when Hoyo's in charge.

This ties in quite nicely with what I cooked up after this patch! It also links to Nahida's riddle about Visions - I think a person receives a Vision when they "see" their fate. Their ambition, their wish, is so strong as to become certain in their own mind - almost like a premonition, or perhaps... a vision. The Vision then crystallizes to grant their wish, which naturally becomes their fate. Celestia then inscribes that fate upon a constellation to enforce it.

I wonder if the power of Geo is involved in that crystallization. Of all the elements, dendro and geo are not in either HI3 or HSR. Dendro is linked to Irminsul, the network of memories that is at the core of Teyvat, and Geo might be the element that keeps it all together. The power of Geo to crystallize other elements is quite something, and not only does it crystallize those, it also is able to crystallize the "vitality" of dragon blood; look at Durin and Elynas. This makes Zhongli even more suspicious of what kind of entity he really is, and also raises questions about his statement of visions being a kind of "contract"(crystallization), and his "contract to end all contracts".

That also paints an interesting contrast with the Delusions. A Vision shows a person what they must do to fill that set role in on the stage. Whereas a Delusion gives that person a false impression of that role that runs counter to fate. The key difference being that those who use the Vision power their use of the elements with a greater power, and the power of a Delusion more or less uses the person themselves as a battery - something that eventually leads to death even if a few people have shown increased resilience to it as compared with others. Perhaps something like a "deep" delusion versus a "shallow" delusion. And then there's the aspect of where each comes from. Visions are granted as a piece of an Archon's power - those who won the Archon War and were chosen by Celestia to usher in a particular path for fate. The gods who lost and died - if I recall correctly - could be used as building materials for Delusions. Their version of fate - now rejected - could only result in delusions for what the future should be, rather than a true Vision. Oh, oh. And that even tracks with the Traveler's reaction to said dead god materials. Since the Travelers seems to be something like a walking Gnosis in some regards as a Descender, it only makes sense that the Gnosis equivalent of a Delusion - dead god essence - would cause them harm. As we see from Childe, it's incredibly damaging to use a Vision and Delusion at the same time. So that actually explains why the Traveler reacted so negatively when exposed to that material even while the Baladeer and Paimon were entirely unaffected. It's weird that you can just take off running on a theory that just seems to fall in place while you're just talking about it. Even when there's a good chance it will just be totally or at least partially wrong later. Maybe that's all part of the fun.

@@aramythr5965 Geo is curious because as far as I can recall, we've really not gotten a lot of direct information about what Authority over Geo entails. We mostly just know that it entails the concept of "contracts" and that Mora is somehow tied to it (along with the obvious control over Geo). Mora in particular is worth paying attention to - despite being treated as a currency, it doesn't feel like too much of a stretch to say that its properties as a "catalyst" are the true value of Mora. Mora's use as a catalyst would imply that Geo is the element that catalyzes reinforcement, transmutation, and alchemy... which quite neatly ties in to how Albedo describes it. "Soil - the origin of alchemy, the basis of all life." This would also provide a means for Mora to be produced by the leylines - since Mora is made from, presumably, soil and Geo, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a leyline to accumulate enough Geo energy to create a small batch of Mora. I think it would actually be pretty cool if that all tied in to explain the leyline blossoms. All of the other resin rewards have some kind of explanation, so it feels right. It may also mean that the Geo Gnosis is only necessary to create Mora insofar as it contains the requisite Authority to mint "true Mora" which has all of the lovely catalytic properties we know and love. Needless to say, Zhongli has certainly lived up to his contract. He's managed to have a huge amount of time on screen while hardly divulging anything about the true nature of the world.

One part in particular stands out: "Perhaps it is fair to say that only those who possess an obsession close to or even exceeding the level of *delusion* might be willing to join this group that so rebels against the Heavenly Principles, binding their remaining days to their Delusions and burning as brightly as *stars* ." If a Vision is a lesser fragment of a star, then a Delusion is a means to burn away a life such that it resembles a star. The item text also mentions that Fatui forsake their true names and faces when they join. I can't help but wonder if this is a means to remove individual ambition from the rank-and-file Fatui to _prevent_ them from receiving Visions. If your ambition/wish is not tied to your own life, but to the Tsaritsa, then what could you see other than *her* wishes fulfilled? Since the fate you reach for is not your own, you cannot earn a Vision. However, this ALSO means that your fate will not be carved into the stars, and you may yet be able to play a part in the Tsaritsa's grand plan to defy Celestia. It really is fun to make theories like this - and sometimes, it's almost uncanny how close the community gets to the truth even with limited information.

there are still many flaws with this. MANY NPC's have great ambitions or determination but never got a vision. rana got a vision (absolutely not deserved in my opinion), same with furina. they had no great ambitions. some aranara also had great ambition, same as pari , same as melusines and didn't get a vision (sigewinne wont count since she is obviously baited for the fandom as human girl again). take garcia. to me he also deserves a vision but wont get any. I still more think that the divine choose people (remember, vision = eye of god), to monitor the tinier people. Or more, humans with too great ambition might grow and become competition to the divine. By giving them visions and monitor and control their fate they can make sure that it wont happen. Remember, Venessa ascended and was sent back as bird, her whole power got stripped away from her as "ascension" because she grew "too big" to the gods. In our ascension mats , exp and cons it says even a mortal might become someone divine through this to ascend. Means more constellations, vision, more exp AND traveler (all friendship lines are indicator of traveler's presence makes each person stronger and closer to ascend) brings them straight up to celestia to basially "take away all that they are so they are unarmed"

Yea Honkai 3rd has been paralleling Genshin's themes for a while, Hoyoverse explores the same themes from different perspectives in each game. Even the most unassuming character like Baizhu directly quotes the final antagonist of Honkai 3rd, who he has the same VA and said something that very closely resembles the final arc of Honkai 3rd part 1. The current arc almost parallels the history of Teyvat's formation, an ark from the previous era 50000 years ago crashed landed on a planet and the life seeding and terraforming contents leaked onto the planet, vastly changing it's ecosystem. This planet then underwent multiple cycles of destruction. I feel that Celestia and the Primordial One did not intentionally invade Teyvat, they might have "crash landed" here or was summoned for some reason. What I think Celestia is about as someone who experienced previous Honkai's stories: Hoyoverse antagonists are never "evil" for "evil" sake, they all fight for reasons of higher purpose and always involve preserving the rights to live, for civilisation to survive, to beat destiny. I believe Celestia is setting up "tests" for civilisation to survive beyond this world. Every time a civilisation reaches a point where they feel like they can actively challenge Celestia, Celestia will accept their challenge with full force, because if they can't beat Celestia, they have absolutely no chance of surviving outside this world. It's a cruel test, if you can't beat them, you'll be destroyed, civilisation will be restarted and rebuilt for another samsara to take the test again with lessons from previous civilisations. All Vision bearers are people who pass the primary school exam, and the reward is that they get to steal power from Celestia. What Celestia wants is entire civilisations to steal all power from Celestia, so that they become mature enough to reach into the stars. As Dr MEI from Honkai 3rd said: "All the stars are enemies", every star out there contains countless other civilisations, they will take from you one day if you don't get ready for them. Your dreams aren't yours alone, it's the entire civilisation's dreams vs every other dream out there. Celestia is tough love, they want to make sure all children on this planet will grow up ready for the real world. They will represent the values and sacrifices of all 7 Archons, what we learned from all of them. The final chapter of Honkai 3rd part 1 traced and tied everything we ever experienced all the way back to chapter 1, answering every question and reminding us of every message we learned, all characters we met and the path we took to meet destiny, I believe Genshin will do the same. We will find out the secrets that Venti dare not speak about, the contracts that Celestia kept, we will learn about the eternal cycles, unlock wisdom beyond the firmament, face true judgement and go to war against the stars. One day we will beat the destiny that Heavenly Principles has decided, the final exam and be ready for the universe outside when we steal back all the authority that Celestia has kept in custody.

Neuvillette said that Gnosis enhanced elemental abilities and gives special power to the wielder. Thats it. The faith part does not require Gnosis. Raiden particularly doesnt need that to respond to the wishes of her people. It is stated multiple time. Ei shakra desiderata is litteraly the physical manifestation of carrying her nations wishes. (I think it is akin to gods) In the end of Narzissen questline René says that to be a descender does not mean automatically falling or coming from outside the universe but A descender is a someone with a Will that can defy the whole world.

That concept of defying the world's system/set laws did happen in Genshin's parent game Honkai. Another point of the chosen traveller being the 4th descender is related to Genshin's initial working title. Back then, Genshin was considered as the 4th Honkai game, until the fans in CN side decided on Genshin as the name. The Gnosis being made from the 3rd descender remains alludes to how the 3rd impact brought change to the respective world's linked to the imaginary tree, where Honkai and Genshin took place.

Yeah, even in the Furina death sentence scene, when we hear her say she's going to destroy the seat of the hydro archon, we thought the Gnosis is being destroyed. But no, the Gnosis was a separate entity and it would make sense when Nahida made that Gnosis destroying gamble with Dottore. It would also explain why she gave up her own Gnosis so easily for the "Sky is fake" info. Another thing is, Gnosis being a power amplifier would explain how the Akasha system ran on such a large scale. I'd have to dig around a bit to find where this lore tidbit is, but one of Venti's earliest acts we learn about is his attempts to help the people of old Mondstadt before the rebellion. The more he helped people, the more they started to believe in him, the more his power grew, and he was able to use that power to help them.

In a way, a Decender has both the power of a god and the will or personal authority to shape worlds... it makes me wonder if our twin had their will/personal authority taken when they were found/summoned to Teyvat, while we the MC were still in stasis sleep.... after all our twin was written into Irminsul (but we don't know WHEN because gods can change it). I still suspect that the Sustainer is the one who has written our twin into Irminsul history as part of Teyvat... And that we the MC couldn't be written from the shocked look the Sustainer gives us as she is collecting us the MC.... I thought similar to you. it's so weird since Rene wrote that basically teyvat has been in a samsara and this was going to be the last cycle, kind of like honkai impact. Maybe she is letting then grow and evolve so they can be ready to fight for themselves should anything happen to the gods... She could have killed them at the start of the game but she sealed them, and nahida thought that she might be silent but should something happen to the gnoses the sustainer wouldn't sit idly by so i think its quite obvious she is letting happen but i think it's because of all those external forces but not just kaenri'ah or the abyss, theres also the "night mother", the foul mentioned by skirk, the sinner, etc. That may be why celestia created the dome that makes teyvat skies, maybe they already are in a war against all these foes. I think what happend with kaenri'ah is they cursed their people since they did the same the dragon Nibelung in the past which was using abyssal power in their fight against the heavens, something way too catastrophic to the land, and maybe thats anither reason why they put the dome and cursed nation without gods, The constellation system may be to control all potential enemies, all the allogenes, similar to what we thought of visions being devices to keep tract on them and maybe use them as raw material to make more gnoses or other devices or components that behave like gnoses for other purposes

No Traveler also defeated Scaramouche with their own power. The only help they got was info on Scaramouche's abilities, through the new "Akasha", so no power-ups. Traveler has also defeated the whale. Just remember that Neuvillette told us he wouldn't be able to fight as he was trying to set up a trap to seal the Narwhal. So Traveller actually soloed the Narwhal for the large majority of the fight.

the gnosis being the remains of a descender made me think of a theory, where Teyvat is going through this cycle of descenders every now and then coming to Teyvat, this descender then proceeds to make huge, fundamental changes in the world of Teyvat, usually by overthrowing the previous dominat power using the power of the previous descender. It would make sense that Celestia, which is the current dominant power of Teyvat, would be very wary of any "aspiring rebellion" that may pop out in the world, they don't want to be overthrown the same way they probably did with the previous dominant force.

In the Narzissenkreuz world quest we learn that to be a Descender it's not enough to just fall from the heavens but posses a will to rival the world. That may explain why the Abyss twin isn't one and also means that by definition any being that qualifies has the potential to cause major changes. Although why then would the twins be barred from leaving? Seems like letting them go would remove them from being a problem.

I have a similar theory. Gnoses being remains of the 3rd descender could mean that the 2nd throne is still the dominant power of Celestia. It defeated the 3rd descender and used their remains as a tool to maintain power. Another possibility is the 3rd descender actually defeated the 2nd throne, but by will or force, the 3rd descender decentralized its existence and its power, delegating the supreme authority to each Archon. This can explain for the suspicious silence of Celestia since Khaenriah's destruction.

Now I got an interesting idea on top of that: Following up that visions are parts of the original wish fulfilling "dragon balls", could it be Celestia's goal to weaken the dragons remaining star-authority over Teyvat literally by just handing the visions out in a controlled way? Weather or not the vision holder fulfills his wish, the vision's wish itself should either get used up or die out unfulfilled, right? And since the visions are "smaller wishes", they pose a rather low risk to actually threaten Celestia, too.

I have wondered before if the visions are Celestia’s way of taking advantage of a natural process of Teyvat. Like, even if Celestia never appeared, people with powerful wills and “wishes” would have received “draconic” visions. To go back to Ashikai’s “dragon pearls” theory, Vision Wielders would somehow serve the Dragon Sovereigns and the World as a whole, cumulating with turning into dragons of some sort themselves at the end of their “human” lives. This would bolster the dragon ranks with new dragons (it may even be the natural default “life cycle” for the people of Teyvat, if they are all “draconic” inclined). With Celestia having control of the Visions, she can “stop” this cycle, or at least prevent allogens from becoming too powerul.

On the topic of Gnosis and the Thrones. I actually had a thought that Gnosis might be some sort of a binding force rather that an almighty tool on its own. First of all, the archons authority over a particular element comes from the stolen part of the dragon’s authority of said element, the so-called Devine Throne. It is the Throne that makes them an Archon, not the Gnosis. And as soon as the Sword fell on Fosalor the Throne returned to Neuvi ASAP. Why? No physical Thrones were destroyed and the Gnosis remained intact so what exactly did the guillotine cut allowing the authority to return to Neuvi? The binding chain perhaps??? And what could thing force be? The force to defy fate perhaps? After all Gnosis basically grand the power of a dragon to those that should not have it => they defy the natural rule of this world, do they not? Maybe what the Traritsa seeks is not the dragon’s authorities but precisely that power to defy fate and rules of this world that the Gnosis have since they are a fragment of a 3rd Descender and all Descenders posses this fate defying power by default

Time to wake up... Ashikai posted a new video! I'll be honest... that little lore bit at the end with skirk regarding the origins of the gnosis really threw me for a loop when it got revealed. Thank you for this video to basically give a TLDR on what exactly it meant and how it'll affect the overall story of the game in the future. Wild ass theory time! What if the female who falls in the battle pass story isn't Lumine as hinted by her look, but is in fact the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, a star child sent to Teyvat to retrieve Nibelung's Dragon Pearl who was captured by Celestia, her divine star power stolen and her body and mind reforged into the Sustainer while the remains of her comsic power (her true self) were forged into Gnosis to keep her power in check. How I see it, in HI3 the characters you play are simulations of different people from different universes and timelines. That's why you can form part of characters that should not co-exist, for example, dead people with living people, the same person as three separate people, people from different universes, or someone that is supposed to be a video game character (Fischl). This is different from the Genshin wishes where you, allegedly, play as memories of people you have met. However, if we stretch it a bit and do some mental gymnastics, we can assume that Tsaritsa needs those fragments to obtain a "playable" 3rd Descender. Not the actual 3rd Descender, but a simulation of them based on whatever remnant of their powers are stored inside the gnosis.

The narwhale share alot of designe elements from hoyos other games, well i say alot i mean the tail in particular, when it comes the quantum element in HSR and HI3. So while it is described as a star beast, i wouldnt be surprised if its from the sea of quanta making it multiversal as well.

I feel like the 3rd desender was something the primordial one (the usper), the second who came (still no clue who that is) and the Sovereigns were force to team up against seeing as this would have predated the concept of archons and the Gnosises also contain the Sovereigns authority. Loose allience to deal with the bigger threat. Probably spearheaded by the Soverign Apep refers to as a traitor, then the Primoridal One somehow steals the dragons power too mid final battle. The Terista is trying to revive the 3rd all castlevaina style not knowing better, Venti and Zhongli go along with it because reasons.

We know the second was also a Throne like the first and after they arrived the fighting flared up again although it's not clear who was fighting who. The Gnosis contain or enhance elemental power but are not the stolen authority, that is the thrones (not to be confused with Thrones a type of celestial being).

The second who came could be the outlander that marries the seele ancestor, although if that's the case they're probably wandering Teyvat without a clue since their memory was wiped (that passage sounds really suspicious post-3.2, the outlander's memories were probably messed with by Irminsul directly). The third could be Nibelung. Since the PO's power has been compromised since that ancient war I don't see it teaming up with all these other threats just to take down one descender.

So if by receiving a vision, one becomes a prisoner of fate - could it explain the vision hunt decree in Inazuma? If Ei or her puppet somehow realized this, deeming the given visions as a threat to eternity? Since they could assume that being bound by fate has some kind of an end?

I think that Ei said to us that the vision hunt was not her idea, but the fatui's, which kinda manipulated the shogun into enforcing it, Ei knew it but didn't stop it... This is what I believe to remember tho, I could be wrong

I have a very crack theory on what the tsaritsa's wish could be, that is probably going back in time to before the cataclysm or maybe just, reconstructing Kaenriah; it would explain why Pierrot speaks of la Signoras final grave as "the entirety of the old world" and how we could go to Kaenriah during chapter 8

I find the idea of the abyss having its own will like a descender and such really interesting because didn't Skirk state something along the lines of Childe has "It", which I think if this theory turns out to be true might suggest that Childe himself has a will like a descender that you need to conquer the world after all he himself states he shall "one day conquer the world" which might be the reason he can harness the power of the abyss because he carries its will or because he himself has a will just like it, I don't know it's just a little thing I had in mind it could be entirely false haha

17:20 I’d like to add more info about this because the full truth is actually really interesting. Spoilers for the Seven Karma Phala arc in Hi3!! The meteor that “seeded” the unnamed world in which this arc is set in is actually the ARK. The storyline’s not finished yet, but it’s hinted that the reason why the ARK crashing onto this unnamed planet is intentional (possibly caused by Vita, the antagonist of the HoRB arc, and Sa, the true antagonist of the Seven Karma Phala arc.)

Something to consider: in Judeo-Christian myth, Thrones are one category of angelic beings. The destruction of the Hydro throne coincides with Focalors's death. I'm not sure if that would make the Archons their own thrones, or if the thrones are something outside but linked to them.

The abyss twin is already dead as they are the third descender. That's why the Tsaritsa is trying to collect all 7 gnoses, to revive the twin as they are lovers. The tsaritsa will be the first gender-optional 5-star character other than the traveler.

1) Abyss Twin being a dead Third Descender screws with the timeline since there are no hints to suggest that the sibling existed in Teyvat at the time of the slap-fight between PO and 2WC. 2) When we meet the sibling in the first AQ-Interlude, they appear to be very much alive and well. 3) Being dead doesn't strip one's title of being a Descender (the sibling isn't logged as a Descender according to Nahida) 4) It's likely that the sibling was never a Descender to begin with. Like what the note said: All Descenders are from outside Teyvat, but not everyone from the outside is a Descender. 5) Even if I were to entertain this theory, the implication here is the sibling died, then revived to increase bond-level with Tsaritsa, then died again, and then revived again by the end of Ch6... not exactly genius writing. And to round it all out, the identity of the Third Descender can be ascertained through process of elimination due to the required conditions: they must be very dead, on similar power to the Traveler, unaffected by Irminsul deletion, & present around the time of PO/2WC's slap fight. This discounts 96% of all characters we've read about in the lore and met present-day in game.
