What they have now might be the most uncreative "logo" they have ever had going back to the days when they were Screen Gems: white text on a black background and a single piano note. "Lazy" doesn't even begin to describe it.

The soap operas would come on at strange times in different states. North Carolina’s CBS affiliate would air Y&R at 4:00PM.

Same here in Canada, Y&R was always on before supper since the 80s.

If you mean WRAL in Raleigh, you are correct. Except when CBS moved to WNCN, they have since moved it back to 12:30 PM for the first time since 1993. There was no point in keeping it at 4 PM once Oprah ended her syndicated talk show.
