I could see being proud to be Irish or Swedish etc. but being proud simply for being white is vague as there is no homogenized "white" culture. It's like being proud to have dark hair. Obviously, black Americans don't see it this way, but that's because black American is their heritage. They unfortunately can't go any further back than to the circumstances that brought them here.
