It’s a part of a lot of people’s history from brown, black, Asian, Samoan, even whites had something to do with them being started I believe. When you go back you’d be surprised how many people had something to do with gangs starting. The whites Going around beating up minority’s are the reason a lot of gangs started. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I saw that talked about here on KZbin. It’s been awhile but I do know there had been Hispanic gangs around since the 40’s and maybe even earlier. The zoot suitors fought the white sailors in LA. It’s such an interesting history to learn. You are 💯 percent right!

I sense some elusiveness and shame that they started off as something other than Westside crips..They seemed to be more friendly with the Bishops and Van Ness Boys than with Tookie and the Westside crips, like they were looking for something and just fell Into crippin on accident.. I Give an honor and respect to my big homboys. Gene Key and Anthony Hatcher. Westside neighborhood crips. Killer Gene was the baddest fighter head up in the neighborhood Gene was fearless He was a straight rider. Rest in peace and power. and also to my other big homboy. Anthony Hatcher . These are the people who I grew up under as a child growing up with the neighborhood crip gang. Red was also a part of the original nhc crew. The night we had that fight at Freds party over motor mouse.. Red was the one who took his hat and Baby Huey was the one who took off on red.. I sided with mouse.. my brother's both did too. I was there. One love. With utmost respect from me and mine. Also to my beloved big brother Thomas. Mad Rock from the Westside Underground crips. Sportsman park. Rest in peace to my play big brother yay yay from Underground crip too. I apologize for keeping on coming onto your thing. I promise this is my last time.. Thank you brother kev. Mac for all you represent in This platform. I won't bother yall no more. I just keep seeing people being overlooked Like Killer Gene and Anthony Hatcher. I just don't know how. They were like really important NHC s and coyote Roberson too. But how can you not bring up them in N/H/C. I never met some of the original neighbor crips. I thought cutes was one. before he turned magnificent 7. But those other people I never saw in our hood except, Billy Hill. Perry Manual and Keith Rider whi use to be working on his cars. Up on madden. Anyway Fred Hill is an original neighborhood crip too. But that Rolling 60s thing goes to babyface. No question and Big Rick 100%. I know them both. Big Rick is the only person who Carlos ever hung out with Like that. And Big Rick is cool. He was cool with me since I wet him on madden back in the 70s. He is the only person who can claim co founder besides Rip or Baby Huey to that RSC. Baby Huey invented the hand sign. With the Fingers making an R and a 6. And he was the first person to quote Rolling strolling controlling and patrolling 60s crips. Excuse me. I love everybody. One love united coast to coast. I send out my gratitude to Keith Stone for his version of the neighborhood. My family moved 10 times over my 15 years growing up in LA. My mother raised 6 kids by herself and I learned how hustle at an early age from my brother Mad Rock R.i.p. Thank you brother Kev Mac again 🙏🏻 One love. I hope that God will use you to change someone's life in a positive Upward way. I got a comment last week saying I was a lil something. It was a derogatory slanderous note. Like a cell soldier type of comment that some cell warriors use to do way back. I didn't reply . But I want to point out to a young brother who may have noticed that comment and noticed that I didn't comment. Always avoid a conflict. That is the first lesson . I learned in self defense. From my karate teacher. Master Jim Kelly of Jim Kelly karate studios on 43rd and Crenshaw in 1970. As 5 of us did taking classes in self defense from his school. That lesson came directly from him. Young people never sling down at people below your level. And people above you will never waste their time . Sincerely Gilbert Wainwright founder ceo one love united coast to coast enterprises leadership and self improvement company. Where ignorance ends and leadership begins.

1972 a few DL's transferred to Crenshaw High after Crip Chocolate got killed, first crip killed while banging by APB's, I stepped on Chuckie Madison shoe, This led to big brawl at lunch time, Chuckie Madison sported White ace deuce hat and white leather jacket, DL'S,Van ness boys, brims and athletes and Mark and Reggie Bouton fought with us, the few crips got a beat down, Big L.T. and Mark Bouton are crimmies before Mark and Maurice Duckett case in 1973/1974. Only crip with rep was Gary County and later James Looney at Crenshaw! ask TONY STACY?

What set was Gary Country from? And Chuckie Madison had to have some type of reputation if he was always a target. You don’t rat pack a guy and do a drive by’ shooting on a 11th grader with no reputation or do you? 🤷🏽‍♂️ I am still waiting to hear TS response.

The swole kid in the thumbnail is the perfect illustration on how kids innocently get intrigued by gangs. You don’t see them as monsters like the media portrays, you see them as “cool guys”, “Ladies men”, etc. I can remember a cat in the sixth grade trying to bully me (a 4th grader) and a 5th grader (who would eventually be from WBC28st) standing up for me and warning him... I could have easily been right under him banging had I not moved the following year...
