Do a CD09 if it's a 1500 2wd build, cheaper than a T-56, with more performance car gear ratios and gear spacing than an NV3500(which is generally too weak) or especially the NV4500 which is a granny low, 1, 2, 3 and Overdrive.

You’ll just need the engine stuff Ecu Bcm Motor mounts Frame mounts Fuel lines adapters V8 engine V8 radiator hoes V8 ac lines V8 engine harness 99-02 are the same Or 03-06 depending what year your is

The NV3500 behind your 4.3 has the right bolt pattern, the trans is considered a little weak for huge power, I wouldn't recommend a 6.0 or larger. A 5.3 or a 5.7L(either LS1 pistons in a 5.3 block or real LS1) is the biggest I would try and I would built it as a high RPM deal with a bigger cam and deeper gears. Hard launches with massive tq is what will likely kill the box, along with forcing the shifter through the syncros instead of shifting slowly enough for the syncros to mesh and go into gear easily. If you want to drive it like a muscle car you need a T-56 or a CD09...unless you go with some sort of a race oriented 4 or 5 speed performance box like a TKO-500/600, Super T-10, Muncie, Toploader, Richmond, ect. An NV4500 or ZF6 S-650 from a heavy duty truck can take the power but the ratios are not spaced for racing, they have a granny low, then 3-4 gears and an overdrive.

You’ll need the v8 frame mounts and motor mounts from same year and style truck. Also the engine harness ecu and matching bcm Fuel line adapters all v8 radiator hoes and v8 ac lines, seems like a lot but it’s not

I am in cail too Ecm is an oem 4.8 5speed I found from a parts truck, funny thing is it runs on it fine without tunning it for the 6.0 but I am gonna get it tuned to get it running a1.

@Shittyyluck did u have a custom drive shaft made or did u find one from a nv3500 rcsb. I also heard u can have a long bed drive shaft or extended cab drive shaft shortened to make fit. Also what did u do for the cross member.

@ order a clutch kit for a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4.8 for the nv3500 it’ll come with eveything it’ll work for any ls engine

Can I use an oem harness from an lq4? Would it connect right to my nv3500 with no problems? Both are the same year 2002

Unless your lq4 was paired with a nv3500 from facorty it would If it was a auto harness it won’t connect to the nv3500 but will still work just need to jump the neutral safety switch
