I love how honest you are! I don’t sleep with my phone in my room and just use an old fashioned alarm clock. So this way I’m not tempted to be on my phone and it mentally for me feels better to start the day without technology and I find I am more present in my life. My three kids wake up before 6am so I’m usually up before 5 (during the week).

I struggle with motivation getting out of bed. I have started by reminding myself that I am grateful to wake up this morning. This day is a blessing so I intend to make the most of it. I also don't allow myself to be on any device for at least the first hour. I use social media as a reward for doing what I need to get done. ( Just like I did with my kids)

My husband and I get up around 8:30. We are a late family during the summer. But that gives me about an hour before my kids get up to have my coffee and a morning youtube video or a show in the morning, because once the kids get up Mommy time is over until they go to bed lol School time of course I push myself to get up an hour before I have to get the kids ready for school.

Getting out of bed - set your alarm clock/phone across the room. When it rings you have to get up and shut it off. Then don't get back in bed! I have to get up right away or I will go back to sleep. (My wake up is 6am, but will get earlier in a week when I'm back to teaching seminary at 6am, since I'll have to get up and ready along with two of my teens before everyone shows up on our doorstep for seminary.) Love love love the morning scripture study. I agree, it just gives me a better start to my day. Another thing I do sometimes is listen to a General Conference talk while I'm getting ready. Yes! My hubby is out the door by 4am as well. He's a truck driver, goes around the state but home every night, some time around dinner or a bit after. Shaving - nope, not daily here. Ha! Hooray for mom morning routines! I love that you shared this. It was perfect timing to encourage me because next week I need to shift my wake up routine to earlier. Thank you!

My gym only opens at 6:30 and I start work at 8, so I go to the gym in the evenings when the kids go to bed at about 8:30pm instead. I get up at 6-6:30am and get ready for work. Kids wake up about 7 and I get them ready for school, then hubbie will take over and drop them to school when I leave. Have tried working out from home but it's just not for me. I need the gym setting to motivate me, plus I lift heavy weights that wouldn't be available for me to use at home.

I want to know what time you go to bed if you get up that early! Wow! I shave my legs like once every couple of months. But I have really light colored hairs and I don't care if other people care I have hairy legs. I don't care, my husband doesn't care. No one usually comments on it. A whole lot less I have to do.

Good morning Britrany. My ideal goal is to be awake 2 hours before my kids so I can read my Bible, pray, exercise, and get ready for the day. Don't be ashamed or embarrassed about the legs. I'm a mom of 5 and I care for my disabled mother and I only shave once or twice a week as well. Makeup doesn't get done but maybe twice a week as well. Sundays and Wednesdays. Thank you for being honest about your mornings and encouraging us Mother's to try and work on our goals.

When my alarm goes off I immediately get out of bed and go to another room to spend time with God because my husband is still sleeping. It's easier to get up because you have to for work. If I didn't have to leave the house I KNOW I wouldn't get up early.

I've been trying to wake up earlier as well 🤣 my am routine includes wiping down my downstairs bathroom super quick with a Lysol wipe before I get on the treadmill and it's helped me stay on top of my cleaning!! Thanks for sharing 😊

#1 tip: have water by your bed ready to go each night and drink a bunch right when you wake up, before you even get out of bed. This helps you feel soooo much better first thing. It totally gets rid of the grogginess.

During the school week, I am usually the last to wake up, but during the weekends, I am the first to wake up. I lay in bed for about 20 minutes willing myself out of bed (I have chronic illness and pain). After that, it’s on to coffee, emails and social media. Then I help my youngest get ready for the day and see her off. I would love to wake up earlier in the day during the weekdays, workout, etc. but my body makes other plans. I only shave my legs 1 time per week… why not?

Still trying to figure out a good morning routine for myself. Kids have to be up by 6, out the door by 7, so I can get to work on time by 8. Usually wake-up about 530 but working on pushing that back so I have some time to myself, workout, scriptures, etc

I get off at 5, pick up kids by 530/540, home by 6/615 depending on traffic, then it is make dinner hopefully ready by 7, clean up, homework, baths, and bedtime at 8, clean up rest of house and then 9--10 (if I make it that long! ha!) is me/hubby time, then it starts over again. I have found I get a lot more done in the morning, just have to work on tweaking my wake up time to a little earlier. Like this morning, I got up at 430 and got a ton done, with room to spare.

I like it very much. But it would be not ideal for me. I'm not an earlybird. Usually I wake up around 8 am. Feed my cat, make a coffee and give myself half an hour to read some emails, read some pages of a book, plan my day or cuddle with my loved ones. Then I'm doing some sports and shower. After that I'm ready for the day. Thanks for sharing your morning routine. It was very interesting 👍😊

I need to start getting up earlier. This year my daughter will be going to school and she has to be there by 7:30 which means she needs to be up around 6ish and I need to be up before her so I can have coffee and wake up myself. My morning routine is generally I get up anywhere between 5 and 7 and I drink coffee and then after coffee I get my 4 year old up and we have breakfast. But now its gotta change. How do you get motivated to get up at 4:30 a.m and what time do you generally go to bed because I need at least 6 to 8 hours of using my cpap or I'm groggy all day. So I'd love to hear your tips and tricks to getting up that early because this year I have to get up that early

At one point our children were in private Christian school and Bible was a whole subject rotation in their day. Maybe you could incorporate 15 + minute chunk of study into the kids “school” day
