Looking to find affordable daycare in Toronto? Good luck. The average cost per child hovers around $1,700 per month. A think tank has found more than 4,400 spaces are sitting empty due to the cost.

License childcare is not the solution. If we as a society truly care about our children here in Ontario alone, we need to work on helping families be able to get by with one income. Parents need to raise their children, not a childcare staff. Many of these children spend many hours of their young lives in a group care setting.
