The sand goby has mastered the 'heir and a spare' trick. He mates with two, but doesn't want the offsping to compete with each other, so weakens the second brood deliberately, since it is only a just-in-case measure

I absolutely love your videos and have subscribed pretty much immediately after the first video I saw and have been binging your videos. Just as a little thing rabbits are not rodents. They are Lagomorpha. I have owned rabbits for a long time and done quite a bit of research as I use to breed lionheads. But a lot of people call them rodents surprisingly.

If the goby is protecting the eggs he can't go get food so it's a food supply on purpose.

When I was a kid my Mum told me never to touch the baby hamsters as the mother would eat the babies as she wouldnt recognise them as hers as a predator had left their scent on them and she would eat the babies.

@samh95282 жыл бұрын
@@sylvestermillado4337 Rabbits were classified as rodents until the early 20th century, but now they aren't. Rabbits are now under the order of "Lagomorpha" not "Rodentia" making them lagomorphs, not rodents. One of the main differences between the two is that lagomorphs have 6 front incisors, while rodents only have 4.

Too much giggling and clowning around distracted from an otherwise informative and interesting video. I don't know who the woman is, but why not have her act in our (the viewers) place, as a curious and inquisitive guest, or co-host; ask the questions that we may be wondering. I like how you squeezed in so much info in such a short time, so the viewer can find more in-depth material if they like.
@TehAnimationSparxx2 жыл бұрын
I found it pretty entertaining. 99% of his videos are packed with even more info. This one had a little more goofing around, because she's clearly not an expert, but it was still full of information - and we still get people like you hating on it because she didn't "act" as you wanted her to. Ridiculous. She's a person, and she's not always going to ask the exact question you have in your head. The internet has such depressingly cynical people. This isn't a purely 100% scientific channel - he always incorporates some humour. If he didn't, it wouldn't be as big as it is. At this point, if you're letting the small amount of innocent fun "distract" you from the info presented, that's kind of a "you" problem.

Too often women or girls have to play the part of the ignorant one, asking questions. I liked that this person clearly had knowledge and understanding.
