That's a good idea for practicing! It also really shows how the hook works on your lane. :)

I agree. The hook on my lane is weird sometimes, and it’s surprising how different balls hook more/less even though they don’t have cores.

@@BraedanBrennaman Yeah, it must be the ball surface but it’s hard to tell if not in person if they are different lol. Are they?

Did you purposely leave out 2 arrows while building the lane? Usually one lane has 7 arrows.
@BraedanBrennaman4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it wasn’t wide enough to comfortably fit 7 arrows.

Hello! Nice vids, New Englander lurking here. I'm just wondering about the balls? They are look bigger than Candlepin and Duckpin, but about half size of Ten Pin? Sorry if you answered this a ton of times. I'm really curious if they have a mass inside, similar to that of modern Ten Pin balls? Nice hooks on those balls either way. It's very very very hard to hook in candlepin effectively. Actually candlepin is just hard no matter what, hah. Edit - Just watched the "New Mini Bowling Balls!" Video.. very cool! I own a couple sets of paramount Candlepin balls.
@BraedanBrennaman4 жыл бұрын
The balls used are for candlepin, they don’t have cores inside.
@JMRSplatt4 жыл бұрын
@@BraedanBrennaman Ah cool, thanks man. They look massive on camera, especially on your sweet mini lane that looks to scale or close. I wonder what candlepin would be like with balls that hook. hrmmm Anyway, thanks again for posting vids!
@vanceharvey25774 жыл бұрын
Love the vid are your mini balls kind of like normal balls like where they hook more or less
@BraedanBrennaman4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Some of them hook more than others, not sure why since they don’t have cores.

That's cool the only reason I asked was because I saw you use the pink neon ball up I think middle and I haven't seen you use that ball in forever

I was wondering if someone would say that actually. I bet it’s been 2+ years since I’ve used that ball in a video. Glad someone noticed!

@@BraedanBrennaman Probably the same reason the pancake weight block balls before the mid-1980s would vary in hook: coverstock material. Obviously side weight and drilling patterns had an effect as well, though that's not applicable here.
