Hi Vicky! What a great way to use the black pages in the Art by Marlene journals! The black frame around those bright colors really makes them pop! That huge die-cut book is filled with endless possibilities! I love the simplicity of the pages and look forward to trying just 2 colors for alcohol ink backgrounds as I tend to use multiple colors and I really need to get out my alcohol ink lift pad - wonderful results in your backgrounds! I loved the pages. I like how you kept a lot of white showing. A few times I played with alcohol inks I covered the whole paper with ink, wasn't as pleasing to the eye. I am going to try and use less ink, move ink round and keep white showing as well. Marlene's art is so whimsical, the fish and flamingo made me smile.

I love alcohol inks & yupo paper. If you don't like the current background, just add blending solution to wipe it off or add more ink with another complimentary color. Use a tiny paint brush dipped in 91% Isopropyl alcohol to add dots to the dried ink on the paper. So many ideas to have fun with.
