I am 57 years old and have done regular braids on my girls hair but have always failed on my own hair which is very long. I just loved the Dutch braid and after starting 3 different times, I am pretty pleased with what I have come up with. Thanks for the infor.

Your one of the only people who shows you what to do with your hands which is sooo crucial when doing braids. I subscribed after one minute of watching and I'm usually very harsh aha xx

Hi thanks for the tutorial. You seem to have magic fingers where you just grab and everything is magically partitioned properly. I grab hair and random strands get caught, hair gets pulled out and the only thing braiding is my fingers. You made this look so easy. Step by step. Thank you for the encouragements along the way (video) not to give up and it takes practice. Now I will have pretty hair with my pretty dresses! Cheers!

i used to not be able to do a french braid but i mastered it by practicing by doing kinda of french braid accents on the side of my head then over time i was able to it with all my hair. i have thin hair so if u have thick hair it might help to spray water in ur hair to control ur hair and make sure there's not any snarls in ur hair

I'm really proud of myself for French braiding my 2 year old's hair and get TONS of compliments when I take her out and about. I've been practicing Dutch for about a week or two. I can reverse the braid (going under instead of over) all day long, but as soon as it's time to French the braid and start adding hair, I turn completely helpless. LOL! Oh well, a few months ago I couldn't do any kind of a braid so I can't expect to figure it all out overnight! (Your videos and cute girls hairstyles help SO MUCH!)

me too! i think it might be because I'm left handed :(
@marthapowell64909 жыл бұрын
On your own head, it's easier because it's easier for the braid to face you. On someone else's hair, it's easier for a French braid. You usually cross the hair over the top, varying on whether you are facing the hair or not. Hope this helps

The lace braid is just what I do when I keep messing up on normal french braids and I give up. I think it's easier because it doesn't poof as much if you are going to put it in a ponytail. (I just do it with the front of my hair to keep it out of my face)
