Many local churches didn't do much than just expanding church buildings which shifted our priorities to give to many other mission organisations who works hard in projects for spreading the gospel

It's interesting how monetizing the tithe as a deliverable isn't even biblical with the possible exception of the land tithe redemption, and there was a penalty for doing so.

Many church's don't give anywhere near enough to the poor Jesus told us the reason to give to the church was to pay the pastor's wage and to help the poor among us not to give 90 percent of church proceeds just to profit the church.

i believe tithing and firstfruits belong to God, so then we cannot give Him something that already belongs to Him. tithing and firstfruits is returning unto God that which is His. but i wonder if offerings are considered giving? or is offerings just offerings. so is giving something that is not returned directly to God, but rather is done in honor of Him or His promises or His work?

tithing is not a new testament command or law. the church is not israel. we are living in a dispensation of Grace that is "supplied seed to the sower" the old covenant to israel has a completely different program

i challenge you to study the new testament epistles and letters setting aside all you think you know and have heard based on the old testament and bible twisting and tradition

tithing is returning what belongs to God, giving/offering is giving away what makes you feel like you sacrifice something. but always giving away brings you happiness even when it cost you something. One thing in this video is: how to decide where your giving is going (not the tithe), where your heart lays: a nation, a mission, a certain group of people (children, poor, mothers, the elderly), bible translation, etc. But yes tithing goes back to God IN your own church.

it is 100% biblical, as long as the tithing is 10%. God doesn't ask an amount, but 10% is 10% for everyone. Even Jesus in the New Testament teached to tithe, and tithing was done even before any law appeared in the bible (Cain and Abel knew about tithing, Abraham did it, Jacob and Isaac, etc), Jesus told the farizees to KEEP tithing, their only huge mistake was they did not tithe from the heart but tithed to be SEEN.

Exactly wrong tithing is not a goal as a matter of a fact it's not even mandatory especially for the new testament church. This guy is in it for the business not teach biblical accuracy.

@@hansvandenberg6464 Tithing applied to the Jews. It was done so that the priests had food and goods to maintain the temple. Jews stopped the practice once the temple was destroyed. Tithes were paid from plants and animals. That is why Jesus did not tithe, he was carpenter and carpenters did not tithe. In the New Testament, Paul tells us to be cheerful givers towards the advancement of God's Kingdom on Earth.

If you have have negative opinions on tithing. would recommend praying about it seeking the Lord. I struggled to this day with my time giving my time to others. I can make time for quiet time prayer study Bible, but when it comes to little events for others being there for others it’s hard and I don’t see it as important because I text. And I’m a busy day at home Mom home with special needs… I find excuse after excuse. You probably don’t struggle with this however, you do struggle with tidying. It’s the same type of thing. God is looking at our heart. If you have a problem with tithing, I’m not saying 10%. Doesn’t need to be legalistic. Maybe you can only do 5% to start with I have never struggled with materialistic things as well as giving money buying things for people. I’ve been with very little and with more than most up-and-down. I love giving materialistic things and money without people, knowing it is so rewarding. This is the last paragraph from God questions Although no tithe is demanded of the Christian, the New Testament talks about the importance and benefits of giving. We are to give as we are able. Sometimes that means giving more than 10 percent; sometimes that may mean giving less. It all depends on the ability of the Christian and the needs of the body of Christ. Every Christian should diligently pray and seek God’s wisdom in the matter (James 1:5). Above all, offerings should be given with pure motives and an attitude of worship to God heart Just as me being prideful with not giving or wanting to give my time to others. It’s the same if you’re not wanting to get the money that is not yours. It’s from God he gave you the hands to work. He gave you everything you can do and no and half is from him why not give it back to the church? God is after the heart pray about it, see him with desiring his heart. Maybe start volunteering in an area that’s needed at your church. The involved with the church serving where they need you at first, and then figure out where you are the most capable and productive You serve consistently you’ll change your thoughts about tide I promise Again, God looks at our heart if you don’t want to give money to your church because you don’t trust them that’s a bigger issue. You should trust your church for the most part definitely not perfect. Why would you not?
