Your color taste is fantastic. That golf shot is uncanny in how vibrant it looks. Question is this: This video is the only place I've heard mentioned the 6k captures in 422. Can you confirm this? I do have the vlog unlock for the g9 if vlog makes a diff. Other forums mention it's 420. This really isn't a deal breaker because 6k in 10 bit h.265 is awesome. But is it really 422? I've looked a bunch of places but can't seem to find official confirmation either way. Great videos!

Thank you! Yeah it probably was a mistake. This video is pretty old so I was not as wise that is for sure

Thanks for responding! All good, just wanted to know for sure. Do you see much loss in 420 in your experience compared to 422? I see a pretty big difference coming from 444 in the examples I've found but 422 to 420 doesn't seem that crazy, especially with the added resolution.@@MatthewDangyou

@SceneOfAction no not really any noticeable difference between 4:2:0 and 4:2:2

I need your help please. I'm trying to film in 4K but getting quite a bit of motion blur/judder when panning or when people/cars and objects pass by. I've tried filming in 25fps @ 1/50 shutter speed, then tried 30fps at 1/60shutter, which was a little better but still not very smooth. Even with the shutter turned up to 1/100 at 30fps, it's a little better but still not amazing. How are the content creators getting smooth 4K video? I've tried filmng in MP4 and MOV. If I film in FHD 50fps AVCHD, the video is silky smooth. What am I doing wrong?

You’ll get a ton of natural motion blur which is normal when filming at 24 or 30 fps at 1/50 or 1/60th. When you film in 60 or even 120 and you drop your shutter to 1/120 or 1/240 then more light is coming to the sensor and less blur is happening. But motion blur is normal. If you don’t want the motion blur which does look natural then drop down too 1/100th or 1/120th in 24 or 30 fps but everything will look no natural motion because you won’t have the blur that looks normal to the human eye

Do you know by any chance if the OG Lumix G9 is compatible with a Blackmagic video assist 12g to record Blackmagic raw? Wondering if you’ve ever tried it

Can u record 10 bit 1080p 60fps internally?

I honestly just sold this camera a couple months ago and can’t remember now😅 probably not though is my guess

Yes. You can record 10 bit 1080p 60fps @100Mbps internally.

This camera has a recording limit of just 30 minutes, which is very bad when I'm filming long-term events, and it also heats up a lot. The camera is excellent for photography, but for working with videos of event and long interviews, it is very bad because of the recording time limit of 30 minutes, and the camera turns off every 10 or 30 minutes.
