Seriously, you are by a large margin the best video instructor I've ever watched. You must have been an education major turned golfer because the way you are able to confer information is far beyond anyone on youtube. No one else is putting out information they way you are. You and I have fixed my swing. It means a lot to me so thank you so much for your hard work. I'll be contacting you for video lessons.

Hey JKM! I normally never comment on KZbin videos, but I just had to tell you that after I watched your video, I could immediately see a few of my fundamental errors in my struggles with driver. I played golf this afternoon and implemented your tips and the ball flew. Thank you SO much!!!!! You rock!

Good stuff 👍🏻 Another mistake I see, that I’ve been working on lately: Since we play the ball forward and the right hand is below left, the left shoulder is often OPEN. You can see your feet, knees & hips, and are easier to square up, but the shoulders can still be OPEN. Also, I notice when, once setup, if you take one last look toward the target, that also can OPEN the SHOULDERS. This often results in a PULL or a SLICE. I have been focusing on getting the shoulders square (or even slightly closed, given real and feel are two different things) and I’ve been driving the ball better than ever. p.s. I have the opposite problem (from “hitting driver like an iron”) I hit driver fairly well, but sometimes struggle with irons. I think I hit level or maybe a bit UP with irons (as I do with the driver) and struggle to hit DOWN into the ball with irons. Please do a complimentary video (“Hitting irons, not like driver”) 😏 Keep up the good work.

I needed Jonathan about 20 years ago. I thought I knew this stuff, but he just identified errors that I make, that I didn’t know I was making.

This is the best how to video on the net,other videos i have watched don't explain it fully enough .Been a short hitter with Driver my whole life because weight shift to lead side too slow and don't have full extension of left arm at impact all beautifully explained.This will be a game changer if i can replicate instruction.Many thanks Michael Scotland. I’m a 61 year old struggling golfer and I’ve watched on YT so much crap, so called instructors telling you to practice with medicine balls, blocks of wood !! Badminton rackets, sheets of ply wood !! No wonder I’m crap!!!! Now the only one I watch is this guy, forget the muppets out there just tune in to this bloke and do as he expertly explains. My golf is amazing now although I’ve still got work to do, I shall keep watching your excellent teachings, thanks again mate, Ican’t thank you enough 👍🏻

Thanks for this video! I have only just discovered your videos. Always had success hitting irons with S&T but very inconsistent with driver. Watched this video yesterday and tried some things out. Put it in play on the course today and WOW I loved standing over the ball with driver in hand. Simple concepts and drills and had me crushing it with a consistent shot shape.

Thank you Jonathan. I have hit too down on my driver forever and this video had everything I needed to get the ball on the right trajectory. One week of practicing these 4 moves turned into my 3 longest drives EVER in the same round this week (coming out of the gate on the first tee with a 333 yard bomb!). These are amazing tips. Thank you for posting them.

Especially drill on the impact to pull back the lead shoulders really makes the different i my driver swing and cures the tendency of right arm agresivity as well as the tendency to scoop the sticks.... thank you for a simple yet great cure...

Great explanation of the golf swing ,had a few lessons with different pros all of which come out with with one thing wrong with your swing weather it’s the grip / posture / etc ,but they never have looked at my complete swing seems to me they just want your money and if you want it fixed completely you have to have hundreds of lessons . Would much rather watch your explanations and fix it myself very clear and a great swing as well .

Nice thank u, harder to get that finish with driver bc all the other earlier points u brought up, tilt back etc... another video about proper weight/pressure transfer to a good finish with driver. Much easier with irons for me to get to proper finish.
@oahujuniorgolfassociationc6656 Жыл бұрын
No questions because you did such a good job of covering these 4 things so well especially by explaining the difference between driver and irons which is where a lot of the confusion is in todays game with todays drivers. Not a question but curious how much of a challenge is it for you with students where you teach an iron concept that they use for driver or vice versa.

Great video! Thank you. I usually tilt well at driver setup but get confused on how to turn for a backswing. Just as you described, I just drop my lead shoulder like an iron swing. It’s safe and it keeps me in play, but I max-out at 260 yards. I know something has to be wrong. This REALLY helps! Thanks -
