That's been dramatized I think. He said he's not paid to mentor new QB's, but that doesn't mean he ignored Rodgers or hated him. During games they seemed to communicate fine. I think Rodgers also sometimes exaggerates it too as sort of a way to keep that "no one believed in me" chip on his shoulder.
@gretchenortner
@gretchenortner 5 жыл бұрын
@@darshloaf I recently read a book about Favre called "The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre: Gunslinger" by Jeff Pearlman. Jeff Pearlman interviewed everybody he could so he could get every aspect of Favre's life that he could. One of those aspects was his relationship with Rodgers. And oh my gosh, the stories from their teammates and coaches about how they interacted with each other... I can tell you; every thing you have heard of Rodgers being arrogant and stuck up in the beginning and Farve making Rodgers' life as miserable as possible, that's not exaggeration. All those stories are true. But now Rodgers says they have made up and are apparently "texting buddies" lol

Wrong. Aaron Rodgers was great without anything to do with Favre. What makes a player great is a constant desire to be the best and practicing and training as much as possible. Aaron Rodgers was the way he was in the NFL while in college. Rodgers is extremely intelligent, has a photographic memory, is a precision passer, and is great at making the defensive line to commit false starts to get free plays. Favre wanted nothing to do with Rodgers as Favre stated many times it's not his job to babysit his replacement. Aaron Rodgers was expected to be the #1 pick in the NFL Draft, but the 49ers took Alex Smith at #1 instead. There is a reason that Aaron Rodgers was projected to be the #1 pick in the NFL Draft.

As a Seahawks fan. Thank you,Favre for beating Seattle TWICE in the post-season. Ahmad Green and Favre killed my team (Seahawks) in the snow game pt 2. I only felt victorious twice when Seattle beat Favre. Once in '06 in the snow game pt 1 at Qwest when Alexander rushed for over 200 yds with 50 carries and when Seattle beat Favre and the Jets in '08. But,overall ... Favre bests Seattle. 😓. Hopefully,you Packers fans love Michael as your running back. Lol.

I love how people that know nothing about football. They say oh Brett didn’t teach Aaron. Uhh a QB leadership has to come from within. You can’t teach them that. That’s what coaches are for. You have to show up with leadership capabilities because nobody can teach that. The technical side that’s why you have coaches. And people were all made saying Brett was supposed to teach him. That’s impossible to do. Every human has a diff leadership style and it’s important for the new an to take over and put his own mark on it. Not copy somebody else. It’s not authentic. I learned that in the military. And I’ve brought it into the hospital when leading. Everybody is different. You can’t force a certain leadership style onto somebody.
