I say that Brett Favre is the best there ever was. If he was on the field, regardless of the score, the Pack had a chance to win. You could feel it. And he delivered time and time again. He made everyone around him play better, and refuse to quit. I think his greatest play, was vs Denver in OT 2008 (I think '08). They have the ball on their 20, 1st snap in OT. Denver is in a "Tampa 2" defense with the safeties pinched to the inside of the field. He audibles BY LOOKING AT GREG JENNINGS! Everyone else was running the called play. Jennings looked at Favre before the snap and they both knew what to do: Jennings does a fly route down the left side of the field, Favre airs it out... perfect throw, 80 yard TD, game over. Packers win 19 Denver 13 in OT. That was greatness! They showed the play in the video but cut the pre-snap look. @@docsylva2876

@@Wisconsam2117 - Obviously he felt betrayed by the Packers. You don't know all that went on behind the scenes. Given how he had no history of being difficult or a boat rocker up to that point, it's my belief he was told in so many words Aaron would get the nod and his initial reaction was to retire because he couldn't see himself playing anywhere else. Then he changed his mind and took it as "if they're going to shit on me, F em." After a stint with the Jets, he wanted revenge for casting him aside. Regardless if that's what happened or not, he didn't owe the fans anything. GB fans owed HIM. Petty reaction. Should have given him the benefit of the doubt knowing his history.

@josephcox30916 жыл бұрын
His numbers are stupid. Statistically speaking only 3 or 4 guys are better, but that is because they play the game in a pass happy era. He accumulated a lot of his stats during an era of football that was dominated by the run.
@tombrady70395 жыл бұрын
he played in a west coast system
@cincinnatias4 жыл бұрын
I dont understand the logic in that saying. Montana played in an era that was dominated by running teams but Montana threw the ball more any other qb. Same with Marino, Elway and the chargers qb Fouts. They threw more than any other qb's in the league, so to say that it's a pass HAPPY league today without saying that those qb's of another era were also pass HAPPY is to discredit everyone who isn't your guy.
@cincinnatias4 жыл бұрын
@AnEn had Marino, Montana or Elway played as many season as farve, their numbers would be high as well. So much love for farve is on the regular season stats, look at his playoff stats/wins/losses/td's-int's compared to other qb's and then tell me where does he rank.
@cincinnatias4 жыл бұрын
@AnEn lol, hold up, the spiderman avatar has it's meaning to me, it's not for you to like. And a pass happy era? Did farve not pass the ball more than other qb's in his time? You don't accumulate 300+ yrds by only passing less than 25x a game, that west coast system was pass happy, and statistically speaking isn't Brees ahead of farve in everything, while playing against other pass happy qb's. You like farve to be your qb in the 4th qtr, I dont.
@cincinnatias4 жыл бұрын
@AnEn I haven't went back, but are you the one who compared farve numbers per season by saying that farve had multiple season throwing more than 4,000yrds while Elway, Marino whoever had way less seasons of throwing dor those yards? I simply said that farve had many seasons of 500 passing attempts while Elway, Marino did not attempt that many, either you or the other guy who argue Favre's stats say that the qb's now play in a pass happy league but you leave out that farve threw the ball more than his counterparts. In Favre's 3 mvp seasons, what other qb threw the ball as much as he did, so who played in a pass happy era? My last response to you, it took you a whole day to try and find a argument to come back with lol. What other qb's threw the ball as much as farve did?

Like Randy Moss at 8:35, as a Vikings fan, you always had to watch the game when he was out on the field. I had a blast watching him as a kid against my team and when he came to my team (in 2009) I was skeptical. But after the "hail mary" touchdown to Greg Lewis (2009) I was in for a short, unforgettable ride that almost sent the Vikings back to the Super Bowl. Aside, all of the interceptions, Brett Favre was and is amazing! #favre

Naw. Packers were shit until Mackowski and Favre turned it around. 30 years of losing. Favre led them to back to back Super Bowls, a Super Bowl win and many winning seasons. Packers screwed up by not giving him elite players. Same thing they are doing to Aaron Rodgers. I'd take winning and having a chance to win a playoff game to never making it to the playoffs at all.

Played with Brett in college 3 years. He always made people around him play better-in addition to his own abilities. We won many a game just getting him and our offense back on the field in crunch-time. ( I was an inside LB) Accidentally hit him in practice while working on goal-line, short-yardage passing, Offense/Defense situations. He showed option - I had QB on option. I bumped him enough to knock him on his butt-with his RED “don’t touch me jersey” on. While our head coach was ripping me a new one, Brett stood behind him laughing. Great teammate.
