This video attempts to explain having a bowel movement with a catheter bag, the 2 types of catheter bags, the importance of remaining hydrated to support a good strain free bowel movement and will show you what the surgical wounds look like on day #6.
1. Large catheter bag has a 2000 ml capacity (not 200ml)
2. Stool softening meds (all OTC) are the following: 1. Docusate (Colace) 100 mg x3 per day; 2. Miralax if Docusate fails; and 3. finally Milk of Magnesia if both of the previous stool softeners fail
3. Provided Bacitracin Zinc Ointment for use on tip of penis where the surgical tubing enters the urethra. This helps control itching and possible infection. I apply liberally and works well.
