Suddenly all 3 lights (ABS, steering & ESP BAS) came on in my Durango. Although I didn't have much hope in it, as the first line of attack I tried the easiest thing mentioned by the different websites, turning the steering wheel all the way to the left, then right, then center - and voila, to my greatest relief, this took care of the problem! (Apparently the good ole steering wheel angle sensor needed a reality check.) Note however that the lights didn't go off right away, only upon the next start of the engine.

FOLLOW-UP! Unfortunately it turned out that what I did above was just symptom treatment, which reset the ESP BAS error, but did not cure the actual root-cause - so a couple of days later, the warning lights lit up again, like a Christmas tree. What really happened was that one of the drive axle boots started to fail, and that affected the wheel speed sensor as well. Bottom line: if the problem does come back after an error reset, the real problem should be diagnosed & fixed ASAP.

Update, could be wheel speed sensors. Biggest issue is brake lights stay on and it needs an ABS module=$500. Can’t even order one til mid March and then it’s another $270 to get it programmed. Previous owner had replaced it with a random one out of the junkyard and didn’t bother trying to program it, he probably knew it wouldn’t have worked anyways. So it’s been sitting in the backyard. She has her “Heep” at least..

Dude, try flagship one. Google them. They are out of new york, I had to replace the ECU, main compuer, in my sons 2011 dodge 1500. Was $375 shipped to my door programmed. All this, oh it takes monts and cost hundreds is usually crap. Had a dealership monkey tell me the same thing then tried to argue that I was lieing, pulled out my phone, pulled up the website, done. ​@@bowtiebuilding

Thank you Sir for the video. Gf got the lite on her 07 Sahara. My code reader says Im replaceing the steering wheel sensors. Should be easy enough after this video. Hit the sub botton also.

I have a 05 Grand Cherokee Limited, I am having the ESP disabled message and traction control light come on, then the electrical light comes on, and goes into limp mode. I have changed out the Throttle body, alternator, and gas pedal. I did the relearn due to changing the throttle body. The vehicle runs fine at first, give some time, or if I turn it off and on it will start to run rough and goes into limp mode. The wheel speed sensor has never come up as a fault. I am using Jscan and BlueDriver OBD tools. Any help would be appreciated.

my lights came on in my charger but i have been hearing a sqeaking for a few months. when i checked the brakes they were still meaty. i did not check the driver side brake though that is where it sounds like its coming from. could rolling around on bad brakes for too long?

I did upper/lower ball joints on my 07 Cherokee. It was revealed the brake pad was only wearing on one side. I replaced all calipers, rotors, and pads. It was then this light came on. I think the sum total of the ball joints and frozen caliper led to this. Check your brakes

Does the Steering Angle Sensor makes the abs, brake esp, and traction lights to stay on? I've been driving the car with those lights on for 3 years, i dont think its something serious because its works perfectly fine, but the only thing left to check is the steering angle sensor, the codes say its the abs module but like i said there isnt any symptoms.
