Gut Health Topics
Complex Protein Theory- Protease enzymes break down protein in the intestine
4 Foods to Avoid: Bovine, Casein, Gluten, and (sometimes) Egg Whites
-Not easily broken down and cause immune dysfunction in some cases
-Not everyone reacts equally to all 4 of these foods, so it is important to still track!
-Food sensitivity tests are notoriously difficult to interpret in the pro-inflammatory state.
-OK to re-introduce some of these foods, when time is right.
You may consider a protease supplement (Top pick: PBenzymes.com).
Some clinicians believe it helps tremendously (but the recent research is limited).

It has to do with your micro biome - the mix of bacteria that live in your gut. The relative mix can make a difference in how they do (metabolize) some of these proteins. Some types of foods are better/nurture the favorable bacteria.

Maybe some people can't break down the food like they used to when they were younger?? Then the partially digested proteins trigger an immune response.

In short, chew your protein heavy foods thoroughly. 30 times at least. When it comes to fat and carbs the body metabolizes them differently and stomach acid is not needed.

Eggs meat and milk also have to do with how that they're processed. If the animal is eating wheat gluten in corn and the item like milk is homogenized he kills all the enzymes in the food. Grass-fed eggs butter and meet our best when you reintroduce them back into your diet. If the animal eats crap then you eat the animal guess what?

While there are certain foods that are inflammatory for everyone with RA, there are others that apply only to that individual. The best way to establish this is to go on an elimination diet, introducing new foods slowly. That way you find out about your own food sensitivities and triggers for pain.

Recently have had reoccurring RA flare ups. Mine are usually sever pain in a single random joint. Going to try diet before medications. I’m going to cut diary and eggs and I already have cut down on sugars and lost 10 pounds. One item of note, I have been logging lifestyle events and I seem to get an RA flare after any skin cut or puncture. I’m logging these as well.

@@jazzya7383 That's great. Be careful to not eat processed food as you dont know what it contains. Try the AIP diet plan which scientifically determines what foods your immune system does not like. Are you eating grains (flour, wheat, oats, barley, rye)?

Anything that is aimed at the immune system do not take, autoimmune conditions are you immune system on over drive targeting your joints as a results. I’m on biologicals which are aimed to dampen my immune system, if I take anything to “improve my immune system it will be counter productive and my arthritis will get worse despite my blood test apparently being “normal”.

So, you mentioned Bovine. Is Bovine, in general, no good for this condition? What about Collagen Peptides. I take powered form of this in my coffee each morning. I've been using it almost everyday for about 2 years. Ironically, my arthritis started somewhere around that time. In the ingredients, it says, well, Bovine! So is this possibly, the biggest cause?

Everyone is different. Try the AIP diet plan which will help you find out what foods your immune system is reacting to. Also try wild (not farmed) mackerel and salmon, because what they are fed on and the antibiotics they contain can affect your gut too.

everyone is different. RA is an autoimmune disease and so your immune system can be triggered by different things. Try the AIP diet protocol to see what you are sensitive to. For me, kefir is OK and although this is first week of eating it, is does seem to make my bowels more regular.

Type 2 diabetes can often be greatly helped by avoiding all carbs and sugar. I would start by cutting out all cereal/grains/flour and all processed food. Just eat as much FRESH meat and fish and veg as you want. Avocados are great and usually eggs, whole rice, diary and potatoes are OK (but everyone is different).

@MindGutImmunity
@MindGutImmunity Жыл бұрын
Most of the benefits of a "carnivore diet" have to do with the low glycemic index of the food. The problem with most plant based diets, is that they ignore this very important consideration. Fiber (and the ratio of fiber to sugar) matters a lot. And fiber itself provides the colon with short chain fatty acids. It's one of the essential phytonutrients, and prevents elevations in blood sugar.
