Happy New Year Doc! Awesome advice! I was an ER nurse who thought I couldn’t live without my one pot of coffee a day! God helped me to grasp the harm I was inflicting on my body praise the Lord! I drink warm lemon water every morning and shockingly I don’t need caffeine! I start my day early too! God can remove the earthly crutches and give health in return!!🙏🏼

Avoid seed oils. Read labels before buying anything. If it has sunflower, canola, soy or palm oil put it back on the shelf. Happy new year.

It is important for us to review the food labels on the things we decide to consume if we want to be stewards of our health.

20:00 My detox started with no plastics in my kitchen. I took a CEU course on Environmental Medicine. Now see the NRJM article "Manufactured Chemicals and Children's Health,The Need for New Law". Jan 8th 2025. I bought glass, metal or wood utensils in my kitchen. Also I sewed cotton tops for leftover storage. Also I avoid the dirty dozen on EWG for the year. The recommendation I like best is high heated oil because it destroys the needed antioxidant vitamin E in it. Frying or freezing destroys the vitamin E in oil.

I agree so much about plastics as plastics found in brains in recent autopsy studies. I am concerned about all these chemicals, additives, etc

My husband ate 500 mg of sodium , got hyponatremia. The doctor did not believe me, a registered dietitian and restricted his fluids. Fortunately his doctor let me give him V8 juice for his sodium and potassium. A certain amount of sodium is needed in the blood. I would not recommend a 500 mg sodium diet as they used to be mostly for hospice patients with bad fluid retention.

I have a bad addiction to sugars. How could I do this sugar detox without feeling so horrible everyday without it? I have to take care of my Mother with Dementia so I don't think I could feel bad & take care of her too. Do you have any recipes for desserts that are healthy? I've heard there is a recipe for healthy pop tarts!

Sugar is poison. Use it as a condiment.
@MariaSantana-ul5wd17 күн бұрын
I use stevia as a substitute for sugar. Replace bad sweets for fruits like bananas with Greek yogurt and walnuts. Yummy. It's about retraining your palate and brain. Some say sugar addictions are as hard to break as heroin.

I'm in the same boat with you as far as being addicted to sugar right now I'm starting with staying away from bioengineering food which Pop-Tarts have but I'm with you it's not easy I'm waiting for someone to respond so that I can see a solution for myself also I stress eat
