This was super interesting to watch. Definitely very intriguing stuff compared to residential. Imagine if the whole building fills up and then you find a leak lol sounds like a nightmare situation. All that draining down has to have some affect on the water bill.

Yep, those are the booster pumps to reach the top. They start/stop as needed to maintain a constant pressure. One is probably a backup. It's a shame that the mechanical contractor who built that place didn't bother to put labels on the pipes! The final building inspection should have required that. Now you have to figure it out!!
@jeffreyplumber19752 ай бұрын
i saw other labels i would have called the plumbing contactor that built it plenty of companies know that work . same with the other building that had the circuit setters needed changing on the heating and cooling system must be some incompetant management

@davidbrinkmeyer5850 nah, little liability honestly. This Comercial stuff has fail proof stuff built in. The recircs, pumps, boilers... it's not like residential where if you don't bleed a pump it burns out... way different stuff and manufacturers are almost always available for a call to trouble shoot

That system is designed to reduce the human caused devastation of the native aquatic microbe population in CA. For too long Californians have been using water in boilers that are full of protected native microbes. The native Californian amoeba is one such species that has suffered greatly. In every gallon of ground water there are currently only 87 trillion amoebas, down from 89 trillion in 1955. To save this vital and protected native species every commercial building in CA must invest in a $2 million dollar system that reduces amoeba deaths by 3%, sold by companies that donate to the authors of the bill that requires them. .....I bet it's something like that. Some crippling virtue signal where the benefits do not justify even 0.01% of the cost.
