The thing is the mods that I use aren't fixed, I keep on changing them as per needs that's why I haven't made a modpack till date. Here are some I generally use tho - hbms ntm, thermal series, electrical Age, along with quality of life stuff like WAILA, WAWLA, Optifine etc

It should work in ntm extended as well, maybe the emitter values will change a bit idk I haven't tried it. Do remember to place down the high energy field jammer before testing tho so if it can't blow up if anything goes wrong

As it turns out, you don't want to turn off the stabilizers before turning off the emitters even with the field jammer, as while it doesn't blow up with the jammer, you end up releasing a crap ton of radiation (I checked with a geiger counter and it read at over 20000 RAD/s). Could be the nature of the dark fusion reactor, but I don't think a fusion reactor would produce THAT much radiation from instability. Thankfully, the impacted radius is far lower with the field jammer than without (and the radiation pretty much goes away once you turn back on the stabilizers or power off the DFC).

True, the radiation leak is absolutely crazy even with the jammer but atleast you get to keep a big chunk of your world. But yes it always pays to make some sort of sequential system where you can't turn the stabilizers off before turning off the emitters

I have been thinking, to prevent a meltdown, you could make one AND logic circuit, where the emitters are only powered when the stabilizers are powered. Basically, make emitters unable to access the power grid, only being able to do so when you turn ON stabilizers, as the emitters are connected to the stabilizers power grid, but not the main one, so turning on stabilizers enable the emitters to access the main power grid. This would make a safer DFC that avoids turning ON emitters before stabilizers by accident.

I made a 3 core dfc that can instantly fill a fensu. world got corrupted though and I do not remember the exact settings but I could probably throw another one together. it requires a field jammer because when all cores are activated it is in a constant meltdown. it uses uu matter and bf rocket fuel for fuel each of the cores uses 3 stabilizers with undefined stabilizer lenses. it has to be tunes carefully because at a certain point the third core just shuts off. not sure if it is caused by the integer limit but if you increment one of the emitters (there is an emitter between each of the cores to magnify the beam and to make it more modular) by even one it will cause the whole thing to shut off. probably could improve the design but am honestly too lazy.

I have a question about heat/radiation coming from the reactor. If I get too close I just burn up. I found that building a stone wall around the reactor pretty much stops it if I keep right next to the stone wall. But without the wall I need to keep an additional chunk between me and the one where the reactor is. What is the best material to use for shielding so I don't need to leave this space?
