Update on my Chernobyl: I found another mod pack that has the updated RBMK stuff. So now I have to rebuild EVERYTHING back onto that same world ;-; good stuff is that I made the halls too small so I can remake that. And I can add extra stuff to make the chernobyl build.

Armor Modification Table and Armor Mods are something I have wanted to cover since such a long time man but there are always videos which take priority over that. But I will make a video for sure on them , and yes Bismuth is extremely useful and essential in so many mid-late game aspects

Hey bro! I honestly can't thank you enough for these tutorials! I got an insane modpack with HBM being included and it has been a struggle lol. You're videos are easily the best out there when it comes to this mod! There really aren't many others which is a shame because this mod is so insane! Keep up the great work homie! Also!!! Is it possible we can get a survival Let's Play for this mod?! There are only like 3 videos and they're all 3+ years old lol.. Amazing, great video and very helpful as always, but i was wondering if you could make a guide on how to fully automate a RBMK with other mods, and i mean everything to putting in and taking out fuel rods and making to fuel rods themselves. but still great video man!

The thing is man you can automate the process of making the fuel rod itself but putting it in the RBMK reactor is something that has to be done manually ... now if you are talking about some other reactor which takes in fuel directly in form of ingots like for example the Big Nuclear Reactor then yes it can be fully automated. In this video follow along till the part where you deplete the Thorium fuel rod in the RBMK and then take the pellets out. When you recycle the pellets they will give you tiny pile of long lived nuclear waste of thorium , simply combine it in a crafting table and recycle it in a Silex instead of placing it in a waste disposal drum. Inshort recycling any thorium fuel either it is from the rbmk or from normal nuclear reactor will give you uranium 233

Yes Security craft is indeed an amazing mod , we decided not to include it for some reason tho I don't remember exactly but it was during the first iteration of the server. But the modpack will still undergo changes to make it better so there is a possibility it might still get added

This reactor has terrible efficiency so there is no point in making it, I just put it together quickly for demonstration purposes. U235/U238 (I forgot which one was it , it's early morning xd) plate fuel will work , you'll just need more than one research reactor to obtain 500 flux

@@SavageVegeta instead of making thorium fuel rods, for the first time you should just make a Th-MEU RBMK fuel rod, one of the byproducts of recycling this type of fuel is actually uranium-233. This is also how it works irl, you need a fissile element to breed thorium into uranium using the excess neutrons, then after the first generation of fuel you just remove the waste and keep putting in thorium. As the U-235 of the first batch gets depleted, you keep making U-233, which you can then chemically separate from thorium and use to breed more thorium.

@@tommy_3039 making or "crafting" Th-Meu RBMK rods required U233 in order to make Thorium fuel billets which are combined with the empty RBMK rod. I went down the breeding path so that thorium fuel pellets could be obtained without U233. Reason for crafting rods first was extracting the thorium fuel pellets from them and combining them with the RBMK rod instead

Hey do you have a specific reason why Thermal Expansion/dynamics or however it is called(The thing with the pipes) I believe that mod and refined storage would make the server better. I have been playing for a while and I have found that our inability to automate things makes the game worst. Love the server I just believe it would be better with those 2 mods

Well the reason there aren't many mods like that on the server is cause we wanted to keep it simple and more combat focused rather than tech focused. thorium is a safe fuel so using stronger fuel like linear ones will help balance them both out, also would highly recommend to do all the testing in a creative world and definitely not in your main survival world

Using moderated parts is not necessary at all, you can use normal fuel rods with moderator's outside them instead and that way no bismuth is needed. Using moderated parts only has one benefit which is to make the reactor compact. Like for example if you check out my last week's video it is on a HES depleting reactor and in that I've not used any moderated parts

@@elpoupa tbh using moderators in between is a better choice than just using moderated rods cause moderated rods only slow down incoming neutrons but not outgoing ones (idk why that is but yeah it is what it is xd) And using moderators in middle work both ways so it helps with processes like breeding

But there is one issue with research reactor - it polutes whole area with radiation. Is there any solution for this? I've already tried concrete bricks and other blocks, that must block radiation polution, but it doesn't work((

No it doesn't leak radiation man , just submerge it in water completely and you should be fine. Like for example in the video i placed the entire assembly under the water and there was no radiation outside that box
