Ok, i feel like i wanna extend my explanation for no. 4. After Toad found out about Luigi’s situation, he knew it’s not going to be easy for Mario to save him. So Toad convinced Mario to eat a lot of 1-ups before facing tough situations like DK, Bowser and the blue shell explosion. But since the fact that Mario didn’t like mushroom, he had no choice but to force himself to eat those green ones to avoid dying. And fyi, the green mushrooms you see in their city are made of building materials, they’re not plants like in the forest area.

The game doesn’t actually reveal Shy-Guy’s face. From the player’s perspective, we can’t actually see his face because of the camera angle. The only reason we saw it in that specific clip is because they used the camera in free mode. This wasn’t intended to happen by the devs and they just left that bit empty.
