This is exactly how I feel in nature. Swimming in alpine lakes and rivers and hiking alone with just the wind and the animals for excellent company. It’s amazing what we see when we are just quiet out in nature. When you were in your underwear I was laughing because I did that for my 53rd birthday and swam in Snow Lake in the Washington Cascades in my underwear although it was summer the lake is fed by glaciers and you can swim right up to the ice. Did some winter camping in Oregon last year too. Really like your stove. And your singing at the end.

So many directions to go. First, talking about no shoes, and binding with nature. Very next scene he put shoes on. I guess his heet was bonding too much with nature. Hehehe. The heater tent, still wanting to get one. Lighters, I always pack two or three, as well as other forms of starting fire. As far as naked in the cold. Absolutely, best way to feel more alive than ever. Not the naked part alone, but naked in the freezing cold.

I thought this would be a really cool series to watch, as you learn and grow. But seriously, you need to to learn low-impact camping skills. Never cut down trees for firewood.😢 use fallen trees and branches. And dry wood will start much better. Don't wash or put waste into streams or ponds. Bury it all. Dip water out and use it to wash, well away from the stream. The mossy plants you tore up in another video could take a long time to grow back.
@Abstract_190
@Abstract_190 5 ай бұрын
there is a good point in low impact camping but your taking it way to over kill. as long as it wasn't like 50sqft by 50sqft section of moss it really doesn't matter and thats the same with washing food off in a river and cutting down trees its okay in modesty.
@mikebel74

He’s cute as can be, and I appreciate him being out in Nature instead of mindlessly scrolling. But, never ever cut down live trees. I’m from the US, and I’ve seen a horrible degradation of the wilderness ethic since the pandemic. I’ve encountered doggie feces in brightly colored bags hung on branches like Xmas ornaments, discarded clothing, McDonalds Happy Meals minus the edible parts, human feces deliberately deposited on magnificent viewpoints, prophylactics, feminine hygiene products, cups and wrappers of all kinds, people with boom boxes blaring out loud music, people clutching a bouquet of native orchids in their hands, and much more. I’m an old geezer, and have been hiking since 1971. I think young people never learned or developed the same wilderness ethic that we had 30 years ago. It’s all a video game to them. Some ranger or whatever will come along and pick up all your discarded trash. Probably not. Some jaded trail volunteer like me will have that job, just to keep things looking somewhat natural. And what’s with the young people taking shortcuts? Here in the Pacific Northwest, I rarely ever saw people plunging down through ferns and fairy slippers just to avoid a switchback. Now it’s everywhere. Only after the pandemic when Gen X, Y, or Z took to the trails because the bars and clubs were closed. Learn respect for the wilderness, people. Don’t rely on your satellite connected phones to bail you out of a difficult situation. Sending a helicopter to rescue you puts the rescuers’ lives in danger and costs $$$$. Don’t despoil the very thing you came to see. It ruins it for everyone else, and might result in closure of a beloved place that generations have enjoyed. Sorry for the rant, but I’ve seen so many horrors these past 4 years that I didn’t see in 50 years of hiking. Let’s respect and care for what’s left of the natural world.

@@Abstract_190 thanks my friend. Like the long reply I have watched the Colorado wilderness turn into a trash dump in many places. If only a couple people abuse the land it will heal in time, but when many people do it, the damage becomes irreversible. I was just wanting our KZbinr to learn and grow, and pass good practices on to others, as he said one of his goals is. And I enjoy his travels and wish him all success and happiness. Cheers to you and all the channel followers.
