You can't trust weather reports all the time. You don't know exactly how bad it will be or when it will hit. -5 is often more deadly as. The wind and wet is the worst combination. -30 dry winter is less of a problem. You can dress and keep moving make a fire and keep warm this way. And as funny as this sound. Doesn't matter if you are healthy and fit, you will freeze faster. Fat isolates.
