Fab video. Wilson's Prom is beautiful, but I count it as some of the toughest walking I have done in my life. Much more challenging than the Overland Track. It's all the sand walking and the sun beating down as there are so many exposed parts of the track. I thought it would be easy too. Plus I am a slow walker and made the mistake of going with super fast walkers, so felt I had no time to actually enjoy the places we went through, as I was always in catch up mode. I have discovered it is better to hike solo and not have to worry about keeping up with a group. That way I get to enjoy the walk at my own pace!

I think if we had of done shorter days in length it would have been much easier. The sand does make it extremely hard and I was so suprised how many mountains there were to hike up too! I love a slow hike these days too as I love taking it all in and taking photos/videos 😁

The southern Prom is fairly easy. Try hiking up The T spur on Mt. Bogong or Hannel's Spur in NSW.

My first ever overnight pack hiking was that circuit way back in 1970! Still hiking but not with big packs anymore....so was lovely to relive the Prom via your video !!

Amazing video Katelyn. Do you have to get a permit to do the hike? And how do you arrange the shuttle for yourself?

Did you do over the weekend or during the week? It didn't look busy. I want to do this hike but get turned off by crowds.
@AdventuresofKatelyn3 жыл бұрын
We went during the week however we ended on New Years Day which is a public holiday. Would recommend during the week if you can but if not, still get out there and do it!
