Chaweng is the best place to stay on Samui, just a far more vibrant and busy version of Lamai and the beach is much nicer too. Like the channel! Enjoy your travels. Dont run from the dogs, remain calm and maybe turn your back in disinterest if one gets too close and is being noisy. No expert, but it's worked for me.

Ahh thanks so much for the advice! I wish we had stayed in Chaweng. I think we avoided it as we’d read it was a bit more of a party place, but if we were to go again, we’d definitely check it out. That sounds like a good plan for dogs! I definitely made it worse by trying to run away haha. So unlucky as we must have seen thousands of dogs and they’ve all been so chilled. Thank you! So pleased you’re enjoying it.

@@chloemakesup There's a couple of bar areas in Chaweng, but it's never been nuts and since Covid it's probably even quieter. There's always another time! Don't give up on Samui it is a cracking island.

The stray dog mostly concern their area territory, I faced situation like that b4, the best way is not run , walk diagonal outward them slowly.but to b sure if u c them from far away. Crossed the other side of street avoid pass them. Read from book use object to be barrier prevent them likewise big bag or throw food to distract them. But I never use those trick b4. Not sure it will work out well.

@@stefanlouw6395 we were actually really lucky with the weather! It didn’t rain once. I think the weather’s pretty bad there at the moment. We did an open water diving course with Big Blue Diving :)

We absolutely loved Thailand! It was a surprise to see plastic on the beach as everywhere seems so well taken care of. We were sure if it had been dropped near there or if a current had brought it in from the sea?
