American culture is on the plus/positive/good side to be one step ahead more than behind. It has an edge on being out for number one in the world. It stands out in the crowd, indeed.

Why do Americans work 50 hours per week? - Because all of that chit chat, through the bush talking, and packing critism between compliments avoids them to complete their work in 40 hours. (Opinion of a German who has worked for the US Army in Europe for more than 15 years.)
@lizrivera3895 жыл бұрын
Germans are much more direct and less likely to care about how someone feels about the truth, I have found. It is much more efficient however, Americans are an emotional and expressive bunch. That's why that is taken into consideration. We don't want to discourage, we want to inspire and encourage while at the same time giving appropriate feedback. With Americans it's often not what you say but how you say it that makes a difference. Also, many companies require you to work those hours. Oftentimes people do the jobs of two or three people. I know from experience. It has nothing to do with wasting time and all to do with what is required of you. I've done the job of 3 people in most of the jobs I've had.

Work in America is better , also 50 hours per week because too much job to do in USA, Germany is small country with 70 million population so employers don't require extra hours as there is nothing much to do but here its national law that full time is 44 to 50 hour as loads of things to be done ... also Germany doesn't have too many jobs since other european free migrants takes all the job ...

Omg. I'm Russian. And it's SO different in the matter of Theory МЫ Practice. We're digging very deep and if you don't have a big academical and theoretical background in your subject, you won't get trust and respect. Like you have to understand the subject very deep to claim yourself as a pro. Example: if you are a designer and make advertising you have to finish art school and be able to draw ancient greek statues, draw humans, complicated objects, paint with oils, know history of arts and so on. If you just jump into photoshop without academic basics you're kind of looser

I had to get used the straight answers with no empathy cause that´s their culture at work, friendly in general but not with co-working in the same team. Is not that they don´t like you is just the way they are used to answer a work question.

I’ve worked in places that are mix of different cultures.I think you can’t generalize sth to all (the wrong way of thinking that I myself have had until now that I was watching your vedio I realized it😀)I mean you can’t say Americans or etc are in a certain way.
