I am looking into pursuing my career choice in cosmetology because I love working with hair but I do have a hard time understanding the whole process on the different types of blonde looks and styles. Since I went to cosmetology school, I haven't had too much experience because I did not continue to pursue my career choice considering I was young and not thinking straight. Now I am a mother of a 1 year old and I want to do my best in life. You are SO GREAT! This was so helpful to me! After seeing so many videos this one has helped me the MOST to simply UNDERSTAND the foil placements are the key to the type of blonde effect you are trying to accomplish. Love this demo and the visual end result! Just curious what would you do in the nape section to create the ribbon lightness look in the left quadrant? Want to see the high contrast when the guest wears her up most of the time…

Hello! For ribboning effects, vertical foils are typically used. However, you can do a few weave foils on each side of the hairline at the nape for great contrast and brightness when the hair is worn up without having to do the entire bottom section. We hope this helps!
