A DBA is doing business as. Something you grab alongside your LLC if needed. What about if you don’t have experience and want to open the biz. Can someone sponsor that? I will hire techs and buy trucks so not as worried about that.

depends on the state. In Georgia you need 2 years experience before you can go on your own.

It's so easy man you might not need any. But most pest control companies will get you your ca and the book to study. I've never opened the book once.

@@don9586 Oh! That’s a California thing. Every state has different rules. Florida is 5 years, Texas is only 1 year, and I’m not quite too sure about California man.

Cali is weird. If your just an applicator it's takes 3 years I believe to become operator. You want to become a field rep, then it's one year. Termite is 2-3 years as field rep I believe before you can be operator. Operator in cali is what certified applicator in texas.

I started in a pest control company. Got trained and licensed through them. That is probably the best way to do it if you are new to pest control because they pay you to train and get licensed at least here in CA. I only need a operator license now to start my own company. Which i am in a few Months. It is confusing at first knowing the chemicals to use for certain pests. Now I can handle Just about any pest situation. Hope this Helps
