This plant is almost incredibly difficult to grow for me. I'm north of Canada but I have a warming mat and plant growing light. Even with these accroutrements the herb struggles, but this year, my basil plants are thriving!

Thankyou very much for the information. I do have a query, I had to uproot my potted rosemary and replace it due to root-rot in the event of heavy rains. Would you happen to know how much time does the species take in general to recover from this condition??

Give seaweed fertilizer and banana peel water. Once a month. But make sure that the gap between 2 is at least 2 weeks. Look for root rot. Rosemary may have root rot. Don't overwater ur plant. Keep it in full sun for at least 6 hrs of sunlight. Look for pests if your plant is affected use neem oil spray and wash it off in the morning before sun rises. Check if ur soil is not holding too much water

I’ve tried a few times to grow rosemary…last year I finally got a nice bushy rosemary plant growing well in my garden, but during the winter the frost absolutely killed it. I am in a zone 5 so we do get some very cold winters at times. I tried growing it indoors and failed with that as well. I have given up.

Propagating Rosemary's in water at the moment. Is that a good idea? UK weather is up and down this spring, warm week and then temperature dropped and ia cloudy and rainy this week

If the temperature is less than 30°c, then you can try to propagate the plant from cuttings in water. 🌷🌷🌸

Hi m.from.pakistan,just buy a rosemarry plant,it looks like totaly dry from bottom,leaves are black and less in amount,i dont know its alive or a dead plant

The cuttings will lose some leaves but ensure the stem & the tip growth are alright (no rotting or browning issues). 🌷🌷🌷

Rosemary drinks water from its leaves. If you're having trouble keeping your rosemary alive. Try misting the leaves a few times a day. You don't need to water the soil much at all.
