I'm not sure what to believe anymore in the skincare world. Mineral vs chemical. US regulations vs Korean, retinoids being all they're cracked up to be, etc. Seems like so much gets overhyped then discredited later. Then turns out there was some merit after all. The only thing I'm sure of is i've spent way too much on skincare! Another thing is not realizing how much i was being deceived by influencers years ago. Nowadays, more people are realizing they get huge royalties and incentives to review brands. Its one reason i like your channel. I may not always agree with every single opinion (who does), but at least i know you are giving your honest opinion and buying things yourself.

A PETA approval seal has always been a complete joke, but Leaping Bunny is supposed to be rigorous about verifying the information. It would be sad if it turned out their approval isn’t trustworthy either.

Hi Sarah , CameraMan and furr babies. I am so thankful for having found you! Great topic! I Only use Korean SPF’s, but honestly just stopped wearing them as NONE ever absorb and or work? And Thank You for talking about Paula’s Choice, I listened to a podcast back in May or June about this and will never purchase anything again from her brand. Since starting my skincare journey 3-1/2 yrs ago, I’ve been skeptical of everything that so many Content Creators “ Highly Recommended “ especially when it’s a paid promotion! I have went out and bought expensive “ Must Haves” and they were horrible. I have unsubscribed to several and now only follow a handful of channels. It’s sad as they get greedy and with that, they become so dishonest. Oops I went in a rant. Anyways, thank you for making this video as we as consumers really need to do our own research! Your channel should have a million followers. ❤

I love a good rant so no worries here! 🤗 I tend to notice when certain brands become all the "hype" - like Tirtir and BeautyPie - that tends to be when those brands are schilling out big $$$ to influencers to rave about their stuff. Makes me kinda sad that so many have sold out...

Really informative video, thank you for making it. I didn't know about the Benzene case in products, nor about the 3M's pollution, but I'm not surprised about it. Luckily I've never used those brand's items. Huge companies like to hide their mess for such a long time, like DuPont did with the C8, see the movie called Dark Waters. As for certifications, based on my studies about sustainable fashionin the UK, brands can put anything on their items because nobody comes to check it or they can just simply buy the certification because it's not as highly detailed as what they should be fit to or just simply bonker, and it applies to everything that our skin comes to contact with, such as laundry detergents, dyes, etc. I guess the same applies for beauty items, too. Lots of greenwashing going on as we already know.

Hello, is La Roche Possay Anthelios SPF 50 fluid to be trusted? I really like it but heard some concerns
@annettemartin4287Күн бұрын
Read the ingredients list, know what the ingredients are, and what they do. Armed with this knowledge, if you are unwilling to ingest a teaspoon of the product, do not put it on your face. Organic Ghee from grass fed cows works great.

I’m not sure if I trust your link for the La Roche Posay - Anthelios UVmune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50 at Walmart- only $11? Wonder if this is legit? No one else seems to sell your favorite sunscreen, unless they changed the formula.

Do you think that the LRP sunscreens being sold by distributors through the Walmart website are legit?
@NOBSBeauty36 минут бұрын
I would be cautious, Walmart is where Amazon was about 5 years ago. I'm pretty leery of it because it is difficult to tell where the products are coming from- if they are real, fake, or old stock. I found this site to be one of the best for LRP sunscreens: www.soin-et-nature.com/en/ But having to pay for shipping is a bummer. Caretobeauty.com is the other site I've had good luck with.

I just can't bring myself to use anything that wasn't manufactured in the United States. The K-Beauty stuff seemed to pop up out of nowhere. The products have to get here somehow and just the thought of how long they are exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations for only God knows how long. Those products can spend MONTHS in shipping containers traveling the water before finally being unloaded, inspected and diverted to their final destination. Although, to be completely honest, the biggest reason I don't touch imported items is I'm (admittedly) far too paranoid - I just don't trust the formulations, let alone the high probability of receiving knockoffs. My opinion may not be the popular one, but it's definitely my own.
