I mean, Ash from Evil Dead is an icon. But I also love the final boy’s brutal survival in The Hills Have Eyes 2006 remake, especially that he gets his baby back

I think Final Boys shine in shark movies. Jaws, The Meg, and Deep Blue Blue Sea. However like Eric said those have an action/adventure movie element to them.

Awesome episode as usual y’all ❤. Final boys work the best for me when they’re kids because it’s hard to sell the vulnerable victim turned badass when it’s a big hulking man. Dewey’s the exception because his clumsy child like nature makes him more vulnerable. I’d put him 1st then Andy, Jake & Devin from Chucky. Fool from People Under the Stairs is a really underrated one too!

Chad isn’t even a final boy. He died on screen then gets shown in a stretcher at the end. Man never earned the status 😂

A final boy is like Nightmare 2 or Final destination (2000). We hardly have those and I think the final girl thing is getting boring.
