Wally tripped because he doesnt have the power as good as flash and Impule they dont trip unless they do it on purpose

This show is the first time they animated him in an officially released show. It's his first full on appearance in any show or movie. Though there was a super loose interpretation on Smallville. This show doing Impulse is one of the greatest gifts to Bart Allen fans

The reason Wally west isn’t fast enough yet is because in the comics he didn’t want to be faster than Barry Allen so he unconsciously put a mental block on himself so I think that the Young Justice writers are putting their own twist on that exact idea.

In the show it's because when he tried to replicate the Flash's lab explosion, he didn't do correctly.

@T€RB Barry created it and generates it, but he doesn't see the speed force like Wally does. Barry is focused on the science behind it while Wally just trusts in it. That's why Wally is faster

Impulse is voiced by a different person than Wally. Jason Marsden voices Impulse; you might recognize his voice as Max Goof, Richie ( Gear) in Static Shock, and plays a recurring best friend in both Boy Meets World and Step By Step series.

In this universe the speedforce isn't a thing, so Wally is indeed an imitation, he recreated the experiment, which is why he is not as fast as Barry, or Bart since his meta gene is well genetic. Also I'm surprised none didnt catch the clear hints that he was trying to save Barry from dying at that point in time, it was very obvious 🤣

To be fair, Barry is also an imitation because he recreated Jay Garrick's original lab accident. Only difference is, it was intentional and he perfected the process.

DC as a whole took a giant shit on the Wally West character whenever they brought Barry back. And it's always pissed me off, because Wally is my Flash. Wally was the Flash for over 20 years. The Flash on the Justice League cartoon is Wally, and he's a million times faster than the Wally in YJ. It's OK to bring back the Barry Allen character. But I don't know why they felt like they needed to give Wally a giant nurf to justify bringing Barry back?

That's the plothole. Supposedly, those who are involved in changing the past somehow retain some knowledge of what changed. IMO, its because of his Meta-Ability, Neutron discharges energy from his body. And part of that energy are Tachyons, which are said to travel backwards in time.

@@KamisamanoOtaku No, I think you're right here. Greg Weisman, one of the show's creators, did an AMA a while ago for another one of his shows, Gargoyles. For context, Gargoyles often showcase's well thought out and refined time travel plots. This episode of YJ was brought up somewhere during the AMA (in a rather negative tone), and Greg had essentially the same explanation that you came up with. If/when I find it, I'll try to link it.
