I’m happy that you showed the distressing camouflaged the calendar in the background. The only thing I found that covered it was to have a dark background like black. I have also covered the back of the calendar page with dark paper before applying it to whatever I have been working on. Thank you for sharing another winning technique with us. 😊

Thank you! My pleasure! I know you can use dark backgrounds but it darkens at the image a little bit more than I wanted this time. Usually that is a great way when you’re doing vintage and distressing because antique things are usually darker and dirtier anyway. As for trying to prevent the calendar from showing through, I have painted black behind the calendar. Then use white around the edges. It works!
