Every quality knife I have has a flipper tab. Just got the KB Stroller with a front and back flipper, it's my new EDC. The only knife I own w/o a flipper is a Benchmade mini Adira, and I hate it.

@jhall_edc To me all their designs are the same they just sell them to different companies that use different materials and give them a new name and maybe different lock and people go crazy for them every time. I swear I've seen 4-5 different companies make that first knife.

Amen brother! I wish they would have called their company something other than dammed design. And used those horns as a logo. I'm a big fan of knives and I enjoy collecting them. But I won't buy anything called dammed design or that has those horns on it. How about blessed designs. For I am truly blessed. Symbols and names have power. Keep spreading the gospel brother!

Flipper tabs ruin "ergos" for actually USING the knife... Any quality knife will allow you to get right up behind the heel of the blade otherwise it's just a "looks" knife. All of these knives have that issue even the last one with that overly-stylized bolster/grip design that holds your hand back from the blade so much.

@DB.KOOPER i don't agree I have a ton of amazing knives that I have used seriously for years with flipper tabs. If i need to get that close to the edge is choke over the flipper tab no problem

That's nice on some knives, but every knife doesn't have to have that. Everybody doesn't have to use every knife the exact same way.

I would prefer the wharncliffe to have no flipper for easier access to the edge, but I wouldn't agree for any of the others.
