Am I crazy? I don't like any of these... I'm looking to replace my Buck Pursuit Pro S35VN 3.75" & these just don't hit the mark. They're all either very oddly shaped, specific for self defense (Americans only), unheard of brands (you couldn't go with anything recognisable?) Sorry, this isn't a hate comment. I just can't see how many of these knives would be something that someone outside of America could carry with reasonable, justified cause if pulled over. Then my personal opinion finds them to just not be up my alley. Maybe this video isn't for me, I was looking for a list to find replacements, not new knives. I'm someone that is newer to knives & sharpening in general, has a small collection with their best blade steel currently being S90VN & focuses a lot on the edge for ease of sharpening. I look at the blade shape a lot more than the steel when I think of sharpening but that's a tangent lol These look slicey & effective, but not for my EDC belt knife paired with my Leatherman. I'm open to anyone that comments some knife recommendations btw. I really enjoy the Buck Pursuit Pro small size. The large is a bit... well, large & the recurve becomes too pronounced on that model. I hate sharpening any sort of recurve lol

I believe you do not accentuate the flaws in a light that you mabe should, if you were on the side of the consumer. Love your channel been trying to find a polite way to say this... I'm sure me and most people would be the same way in your shoes if we were in the knife companies back pockets. I watched your videos while holding many of these knives and I believe many of the flaws were pointed out but glazed over so to speak...

LOL, I guess I'm completely missing why anyone would pay anywhere close to $150.00+ for basic knife steel? Absolutely nothing wrong with 14C28N, but what sucker pays $150.00+ for a knife from a budget knife maker for it's completely useless stock titanium scales? I like Kubey, they have interesting designs, but WTF? If you're going for titanium scales you put them on a really solid knife... That's the point. What's the market here? Who would be the one guy to buy these?

Kubey is getting better and better (this applies to almost all well-known knife manufacturers from China). The most recent knife I bought from Kubey is the Hyperion, a really great knife at a damn good price.

I’m a big fan of folding knives that can double up as kitchen knives in a pinch. I cook a lot and hate going to people’s dull knives. I use my liong mah 4.0 and kizer momo so this HID is appealing to me. Wish there were more options with this geometry and size with bearings.

It's a 300 dollar investment for opening card boxes and such, there's also that idea that comes in mind " what a heck I will be using this thing for besides cutting paper" 😂
@NeevesKnivesКүн бұрын
People that work in places that require lots of cutting or someone that does work that often requires a cutting tool, or just anyone who wants a knife in there pocket they hardly have to sharpen. When you carry actually sharp knives you never want to carry dull again and crap steels constantly need sharpening so it's a 300$ investment in time given back to you that won't be on a stone

Looks like a smaller version of the Tityus which also comes in 14c28n but is less in cost. Hmm. Would love to handle each to compare for myself.
@dustinwhitt5297Күн бұрын
Listen, I love kubey and I love these designs but I still think $152 is still too much for titanium and 14c28n steel. To me, the value just ain't there. If they was trying to make it affordable they could of just made it 14c and aluminum and knocked that price down a bit more. If this was around $120 I'd buy it all day. Once again, just my opinion.
