I think physical intimacy every day should be the goal. But everyday your spouse might not want/be able to have penetrative sex. I think shooting for a minimum of making out, cuddling/massage and oral is a good baseline. Sex/physical intimacy is the main differentiating factor between just a friend and a spouse.
