When I see the price these places charge for such tiny homes and in some cases just the frame work Im amazed. I wish more people just took a quick framing building class and buy 2x4s and do it themselves. It would come out orders of magnitude cheaper and you could make a much bigger place. Cons: 1. Unregulated tiny home building industry. And does the builder or DIY kit maker offer a warranty, and do they have a good reputation for quality? 2. Is the build secure enough to offer good protection compared to a standard house or apartment building? 3. Can you find a secure, safe location to place it (I think these are good for extended family situations on lots that can legally hold them) 4. If you have to buy or rent land to place them, will you actually save money over an apartment. Absolutely the costs can add up
@catherineostrom75755 ай бұрын
Since these are just a metal frame, EVERYTHING ELSE is an additional cost.
@blackrealestatedialogue5 ай бұрын
@@catherineostrom7575 you are correct and that’s why I disclosed that additional detail it in the video. People need to understand that so I thank you for your comment. Let me know what you think of these Amazon houses. I think you’ll like them more. Here is the other video -> kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJPadGt_mNZlrac

$25k for a 1 bd 1 bath steel frame kit only is crazy. You could go to a steel mill and get it much cheaper.

The thing is land also costs much more. These living quarters are affordable, but land isn't.
@blackrealestatedialogue8 ай бұрын
This is a valid point. Land is def costly depending on where it is

My ideal size would be 396 square feet, but at those prices is better than I do it myself. I can do it for less than 100k land included in places like Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, etc. You get the picture.

These kits are only good because they are mostly prefab But if I built the same product just out of wood , it would weigh more but cost significantly less

On the company’s website. That photo along with any others are just mock ups of what it could potentially look like when it’s built out. The customer will only receive a steel frame as mentioned in the video and the remaining build out is on the buyer.
